Post ITT if you have been to China

I hope someone is meeting Cawacko at the airport. My wife's co-worker just came back from China. If you think your local airport is crowded...... The guy said it's like being caught in the middle of a herd. You just get pushed along whether or not that's the way you want to go.

Everyone knows that. Yurt is mentally ill, seriously, not being sarcastic, and everyone knows that too. Don't concern yourself with his crazy talk. No one listens to him.

He is not mentally ill. He is what we usd to call 'slow' and is extremely naive. He is probably quite a nice lad who gets a lot of stick from his workmates. I have had him in my rather elite ignore box for years. He is with that fool from Pheonix. Dumbo has been in the box since before we settled here from AOL.

I'm going for the first time in an hour. I'm going for work and they are sending me alone. I do not think that is a good idea. I'm going to Shanghai and Hangzhou. If you've been how much trouble can a person get into at night? I do not want to be my own personal version of Hangover III.

Cawacko you will be much safer than you were in the states. The Shanghai bund is a copy of the Liverpool waterfront..in places. You will love it.

I just got to my hotel in Hangzhu (sp). How long have I been up now? I had a driver pick me up in Shanghai and take me to the train station so that went smoothly. When I got to Hangzhu none of the cab drivers had heard of my hotel There were literally 15 people around me trying to help this cab driver figure out where my hotel us. It took close to 20 minutes to figure it out. It was also 90 degrees and humid and the train station stunk. It was awful. I am going to pass out now for a long time.

Hahaha. Life's wondrous tapestry. You were obviously ill advised by your office before you left. You should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have the address of your destination written in Chinese before setting off. I hope you packed some biscuits and maybe a can of baked beans for a life saving feast when you get back to your hotel.
All stations smell, sunshine. And all people that aren't you smell too. Get used to it. To the Chinese you stink!

So just smile sweetly and say xie xie (see-ay see-ay) and mei wen ti. Mei wen ti is possibly the most important thing to learn. It means 'no problem' and can show you to be intelligent and careful of your hosts feelings.
Tonight you will be taken out to dinner. You will eat everything and NOT ask what it is. If you do not like something, dont have any more. Try something else. If there are dumplings on the table, grab 'em, they are usually gorgeous.

I see your Chinese masters really apprecite how you kow-tow.
I hope they at least give you an extra bowl of rice, once a week. :D
