I could be wrong, but I believe the last birth year drafted was 1953. And that was a draft of less than a thousand people, so was easy to avoid. The last serious draft birth year was 1950.

So almost all draft dodgers would have been born in 1950 or earlier, and absolutely all were born in 1953 or earlier. That puts them at least 71 years old in 2024, and more probably over 74. That is barely within the age of running for office, but it is seriously running out.

Good observation. Although it shouldn't be a law, I do think that no party should nominate a President who can't 1) do the job 2) complete their allowable terms. Usually that's anyone over 65 and probably over 60.

Perjury is a crime and Bill played the system in the draft. He also repeatedly lied in the face of Americans. I never trusted him and I never trusted Trump for the same reasons.

Just so we're clear; I'm not a fucking lawyer. Bill and Don both violated the spirit of their oaths along with the letter.

Senator Jack Reid, a Democrat, who co-sponsored a bill that required the flag to be flown at certain federal properties, including the White House, daily. Trump subsequently signed the bill into law.

I do like seeing a younger President, but think someone in their 70's can do the job. People are living longer, so it seems possible to me.

Of the 46 different Presidential starts, 5(11%) were over 65, 7(15%) were over 60, 25(54%) were between 50 and 60, and 9(20%) were under 50.
