He wasn't sacked, he stepped down. Both the students and the school are nuts. I bet nobody would have complained if the school showed "Tropic Thunder" with R. Downey Jr. in blackface.

He didn't step down voluntarily I'm sure. To my mind this is very indicative of the insanity that seems to run through many universities these days.
