I don't see inflation going towards 10%. I don't see gas prices rising by a $1 + a gallon. No foreign policy disasters on the horizon, like a botched Afghanistan withdrawal. There aren't tens of thousands pouring across an open border. That's just on Biden and the last four years. I could go back further if you like since you gave me "80 years" to work with. So, what "damage" has Trump done exactly?
Inflation expectations are the highest we have seen since 1981. In 1981, it was dropping from double digits, but this time it is rising. That means it would be very reasonable to predict double digit inflation.
Other "sentiment" questions are predictive, but not perfectly. Inflation expectations are the way future contracts are being negotiated. The numbers can be complex, but are very close to perfect predictors.
With a global recession coming, and a fall in demand for gasoline, I would not invest in gasoline at the moment.

"Expectations?" Really? Biden had REAL massive inflation and almost from day one. Carter had REAL massive inflation, as but two examples. Get back to me with this one when it happens.
Another set of predictions that hasn't manifested.
Uhm... How many started since Trump retook office? Biden got Ukraine - Russia and Israel v. Hamas as starters. There is one that looks like it's growing between India and Pakistan but our involvement with either is pretty minimal right now. How Trump handles that one if it gets serious will be interesting. He's also done a far better job with the Houthi mess and Yemen than Biden did.
And, let's toss in the immigration / border issue. Trump did in less than 90 days what Biden claimed was impossible for four years. He closed the border and has all but ended illegal crossings into the US. That's something no other US President in modern history has been able to do. Even Eisenhower's Operation Wetback didn't get those results.

Biden saw a total of about 22% inflation in his four years, the national debt double, consumer prices on many common goods more than double, stagnant job growth (excludes jobs that reopened with the end of the Chinese Disease lockdowns), and flat economic growth. Only the rich did really well under Biden with a massive increase in the stock market and other investment forms the rich participate in heavily.
With Trump, so far, the economy has been flat. I suspect investors and such are waiting to see what happens with his tariffs and other trade measures.
Biden was an utter failure in every way. A one-term loser who is easily the worst president since WW 2, taking that prize from Carter.
