President Obama's chances...

And some people really pretend to believe that policies don't have real world impacts.

Republicans tell everyone over and over that if we just leave big business alone, it will police itself and those who pollute will "suffer in the marketplace" which will force them to change their ways...yeah, right.

We've tried that and all it got us was dirty water and dirty air.

And some people really pretend to believe that policies don't have real world impacts.

And, again, more evidence that some people really do believe the hype. Some people really pretend that rejecting a government solution means somebody else "wants" something they never wanted nor support.

You sip the koolade and pretend that only others like sugary beverages. I'm good with that. I will still give the same advice to any political candidate. When faced with bumper stickers and slogans, at least part of your campaign must also be bumper stickers and slogans. There is a large number of people who will believe whatever catchy phrase hits their face if it remains uncountered by something shiny.

Others are just apologist and hacks. I love having all of them here, even the bumper sticker readers...

1. We've never tried that.
2. Nor do republicans say that.

This is itself a form of exaggerated "hype".

Yet others just can't fucking read.

I don't recall him using them. I only ever hear that from the Fox News/Right Wing Radio crowd.

Riiiight. So you really are saying that. I was joking before (winky included)... not so much now.

You must have really believed it when Patsy told us that republicans want people to eat dog food and that they are "coming for your children"...

I do note you have carefully avoided saying, "Yup, republicans really do want dirty air and water and poor elderly people!"

I believe Damo made an honest mistake, he has come as close to admitting as Damo gets. Otis true that misuse of quotes in this instance is more misleading than most misspellings.

Its one thing for others to say it, its quite another for the canidate to do it. Newt has crossed the line himself more than a few times.

It looks to me like Romney is going to pull it out.

But the move to the right that Gingrich caused him to take may be fatal.

I support portions of OWS, just like the president and I suspect a majority of Americans.
