....then proves he didn't. Trump campaigned that he'd only hire the best people to work in his Presidential administration but the facts proved he didn't. Additionally, his recent attacks on General Kelly and Ambassador Haley prove even Pedo Don doesn't believe he hired the best people. In short, Trump has repeatedly proved he failed to hire the best people and his attacks on those people is the proof.

Trump rips Kelly after confirmation of ‘suckers’ remark about war dead
Former President Trump ripped John Kelly, his former White House chief of staff, after he confirmed the Trump’s remark about calling dead U.S. service members “suckers.”

“John Kelly, by far the dumbest of my Military people, just picked up the theme of the Radical Left’s lying about Gold Star Families and Soldiers, in his hatred of me,” Trump said in a Truth Social post Wednesday. “He was incapable of doing a good job, it was too much for him, and I couldn’t stand the guy, so I fired him like a ‘dog.'”

His comments come days after Kelly confirmed several details included in a 2020 article from The Atlantic, including remarks made during a visit to France in 2018.

“A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them,’” Kelly told CNN anchor Jake Tapper. “A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’”

Kelly added that Trump showed an “open contempt” for all Gold Star families.

Multiple senior staffers told The Atlantic at the time that Trump did not want to visit the graves of the American soldiers buried at Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France and said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”

The outlet was also told that the former president referred to the 1,800 U.S. Marines killed in World War I’s Battle of Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

What happened to the ‘best and most serious people’?
As a presidential candidate, Trump purportedly understood this fundamental business proposition. He promised he would hire only “the best and most serious people.” President Trump, however, is acting like a business novice.

A recent article in the Washington Post, “Behind the chaos: Office that vets Trump appointees plagued by inexperience,” details an alarming state of affairs in the little known but quite important Office of Presidential Personnel. The OPP oversees the selection process for about 1,400 presidential appointments, including some 400 positions at the highest levels of the executive branch. The Post reports that the OPP is about a third the size of prior administrations, staffed with people who have little experience, and some of whom made material misrepresentations about what little experience they do have.

Shockingly, the article describes an office where its members sit “vaping” on the couch, serve beer and wine with snacks, play drinking games, and engage in nepotism. If accurate, this would fit few people’s definition of hiring only “the most serious.” As the article notes, it also is in stark contrast with prior administrations that retained experienced, credentialed people to lead this important function.

The objective results suggest the Washington Post probably is not far off the mark. Trump has had fewer candidates confirmed for critical government posts than any of the past five presidents at this point in his presidency — as of the end of March, 387 approvals compared to 548 for President Obama and 615 for President Bush. Trump, who never shoulders blame for anything, faults Senate Democrats for their delays. But he cannot blame Democrats for the fact that he has sent far fewer names to the Senate for confirmation than recent prior presidents over the same period.

Trump trolls his Ambassador, another of his "best people":

Haley says Trump campaign sent her birdcage after he called her ‘birdbrain’
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Sunday that the Trump campaign sent a birdcage and bird food to her hotel room, a day after former President Trump called her “birdbrain.”

In a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Haley posted a photo of a birdcage with a large bag of food, with a sign that said, “From: Trump Campaign.”...

...Marc Caputo, a journalist with The Messenger, confirmed in a post on X that it was done by the Trump campaign. The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.

The post comes as Trump, the front-runner in the GOP primary campaign, has shifted his focus to target Haley, who served as his ambassador to the United Nations and as the former South Carolina governor.

Haley has risen in the GOP presidential field, aided by her strong performance in both GOP debates....

....On Friday, Haley responded to the attack in a post on X, suggesting it showed her campaign’s momentum.

“Love this. It means we are in 2nd and moving up fast. Bring it!” she said.

An older article, but when the National Review condemns Pedo Don for hiring "two-bit thugs", then it's a good guess Trump isn't hiring the best people.

On Donald Trump and the Two-Bit Thugs Who Do His Bidding
There’s a long-observed adage in business: The key to success is hiring people better than you are. Today, the obverse principle was demonstrated: If you want to fail, hire like Donald Trump hires.

Earlier this morning, the Republican front-runner’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was arrested in Jupiter, Fla., on charges of simple battery against former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields at a Trump campaign event on March 8. To anyone with even one operational eyeball, Fields’s claim — that Lewandowski yanked her by the arm when she tried to ask Trump a question as he headed toward the exit at his Trump National Golf Club — was never much in dispute. Washington Post reporter Ben Terris, who was standing beside Fields at the time of the alleged incident, corroborated Fields’s story....

...For anyone still laboring under the delusion that a President Trump would fill his administration with the “best people,” this episode is incontrovertible evidence to the contrary. Trump doesn’t hire the “best people.” He hires people just like him: thuggish, hot-headed, mendacious, and concerned above all else with winning.

As of late, Trump rallies have become occasions for out-and-out brawls. Trump’s canceled rally in Chicago gave experienced politicos shivers of 1968. The violence culminated earlier this month in a Trump supporter sucker-punching a protester, then telling reporters the next protester might have to be “killed,” prompting Trump to respond that he’d happily pay his felonious fan’s legal fees. This was a few weeks after Trump himself fantasized aloud about a protester at his rally in Nevada: “I’d like to punch him in the face.”

If the name Corey Lewandowski sounds familiar it's because Trump's "best people" was fired a few years later for sexual harassment...a common Pedo Don move. The article below also notes that Florida dropped the assault charges. Republicans taking care of Republicans.

Corey Lewandowski fired from Trump PAC after sexual harassment allegations
Corey Lewandowski has been removed from his position overseeing a super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump after a donor alleged he sexually harassed her at a charity event in Las Vegas over the weekend...

...Politico reported that Trashelle Odom, the wife of an Idaho construction executive, accused Lewandowski of repeatedly touching her and speaking to her in graphic terms at the charity event. The political news site cited four first-hand witnesses at the event and two others who described conversations with Odom after the alleged incident. NBC News was unable to independently confirm Politico's reporting.

“He repeatedly touched me inappropriately, said vile and disgusting things to me, stalked me, and made me feel violated and fearful,” Odom alleged in a statement to Politico....

...In 2016, Lewandowski, who was then Trump’s campaign manager, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery for intentionally grabbing and bruising the arm of a reporter. A few weeks later, Florida authorities dropped the charges, saying there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him.

Sleazebags tend to find common cause with other sleazebags.

Any poster on JPP who has spent seven years relentlessly defending Trump is morally suspect.

Agreed on both points. Notice, too, that whataboutism is their major line of defense for Trump's pedophilia, abuse of office and his betrayal of his own supporters.

He sure is a poor judge of character when hiring people - per him.

He really turns on everyone eventually. It's amazing that conservatives can't see through his act.

Agreed. Even dumber are the numbers of idiots sending him money.

Trump campaign announces $45 million fundraising haul in third quarter
The Trump campaign raised more than $45 million during the third quarter of 2023, it announced Wednesday, easily surpassing the former president’s rivals in the 2024 GOP primary.

The campaign said it has more than $37.5 million cash on hand, with close to $36 million of it designated for use in the primary campaign.

The significant haul came during the months of July, August and September, during which Trump was indicted in Washington, D.C., for his attempts to remain in power after losing the 2020 election and indicted in Georgia for his efforts to overturn the election results there. Prosecutors also brought additional charges in that time frame related to Trump’s retention of classified documents.

Trump’s campaign sent out fundraising emails after each of his indictments and court appearances, seeing a spike in donations in most cases. Trump posted a fundraising link on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, after he was booked in Georgia, the first time he had posted on the platform since 2021.

“The [third quarter] numbers are even more impressive considering the Summer months are usually when most campaigns experience lagging fundraising support. President Trump and his campaign have completely shattered that notion,” the campaign said in a release announcing the numbers....

The Senate allows the president to have the people he wants almost without fail. Trump asked them to swear loyalty to him above all. That is what offended Comey. He was in the oval office and Trump told him to swear loyalty. He told Daffy he was loyal to the Constitution. That made him an enemy.
