did you want him to list everything libertarians stand for?
Nope I have a pretty good idea after puttin up with him for years.
did you want him to list everything libertarians stand for?
did you want him to list everything libertarians stand for?
so you support socialism ?
He just needs to answer one question.
"Is libertarianism a pro-fascist movement?"
ACLU a private defense agency? Pure stupidity.
They spring into action by initiating court cases. Who controls the courts? Thats right - the government.
Lets privatize police forces while we're at it.
We have had libertarians promoting the privitizing of police forces on here....
We should ban security guards in order to give the public police the leverage they deserve.
They should come back so I can wipe the floor with them.
I think it would be a comparable amount of fuss to what we see now with public protection, but honestly it's not even a remotely high priority.
Our system could do with some tweaks, but for the most part (War on Drugs aside) it is working.
If I ever got a chance to support it, I might. But the way we're handling police protection now is okay.
On balance yes. I'm not going to lecture Americans about how policing in their country should be carried out. I have my opinions but I'll keep them to myself until asked. I will say this - public policing in the US, like public policing in any other liberal democracy, is functioning okay. There is no need to privatise that public function. To do so would be the pursuit of inefficiency and ineffectiveness in the name of ideology.
Private security is another issue, completely separate from policing and I just wanted to make the point that the two are very different, one from the other. I don't have a problem with private security as an industry or with individuals who work within it.
Depends on the standards to which private security is held. I have seen many doofus minimum wage rent-a-cops. But now that is not all of them by any means.
