The party that invented the Klu Klux Klan, passed Jim Crow laws, filibustered Civil Rights legislation, had a KKK recruiter as its Senate Pro Tem does not get to lecture me on race issues.

it slowly allows people to see black people (and others) preforming well in areas they had not previously been allowed to enguage in.


Over these 57 years a whole country has changed their image of people of color.

They now see them as just as capable and promising as all human beings are no matter what they look lik on hte outside.


There are of course a few Americans who were impervious to the reality that blacks are indeed just the same as whites.
