Those people don't think he is against abortion, and I don't think the single issue voter is a huge percentage. They know he will appoint
right wing justices who intimate in their writings and words throughout their very groomed career paths that they will overturn Roe.

The joke is on them. The only thing a "textualist" is reliably going to do for the right is make sure Republicans can continue to cheat on the
democracy front. 9 Scalias on the bench would find a way to save Roe. ;)

The physical toll of the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol continues to grow for law enforcement. According to The Washington Post, about 140 officers were injured in the violent siege.

“I have officers who were not issued helmets prior to the attack who have sustained head injuries,” said the Capitol Police officer’s union chairman, Gus Papathanasiou, in a statement Wednesday. “One officer has two cracked ribs and two smashed spinal discs and another was stabbed with a metal fence stake, to name some of the injuries.”

According to The Post, 65 D.C. police officers suffered concussions, swollen ankles and wrists, bruises, and irritated lungs from pepper spray. Officers were pushed down stairs, trampled and punched. 81 Capitol police officers were assaulted during the siege, but the extent of their injuries was not detailed in reports.

The House passed legislation on Tuesday to award Congressional Gold Medals — one of the highest civilian honors — to police officers who defended the Capitol during the violent Jan. 6 insurrection.

Lawmakers handily passed the legislation. Members of both parties supported it, 406-21, with all of the votes in opposition coming from conservative Republicans.
