Proof the Right Has No Idea What The Debate is About

....There were two repubs on Bill Mahr's show this weekend and they BOTH admitted that there was going to be no death panel and that old people weren't going to be allowed to die. ....
Its not stated as such in the Bill, but the fact remains that there is a committee envisioned to determine what should be covered and not. Future budget limitations will of course require rationing, and that rationing will undoubtedly be based on the committee's recommendations.

This is kind of my understanding. I admittedly am not a policy wonk and can't sit here and discuss the minute details of all that Congress has passed so far.

But going on the 'sniff test' it seems to me history has shown its a pretty safe bet to assume whatever costs a government claims in the beggining of a big program that they will ultimately be higher. At some point the government is going to have to do something to reign in costs. I don't believe it unreasonable to think that it would mean reigning in certain types of care or procedures. Am I off in that assumption?

I saw a stat of about ten fold higher on the two previous medical plan projections.
The two republicans on Maher's show were solid and for reform, just not Obama-care.

anyone notice that is has went from them calling it...Health care reform..
to..Health Insurance reform?

kinda like the Global Warming to...Climate change..?

the Progressive Democrat party are some sneaky slimy snakes..

Mayo controls costs primarily by putting doctors on salary. That keeps them from order texts to pad the bill to bring in more money. Mayo does it right.

True they could but where would that get you? Do you think Social Security would be as wildly popular as it is if it had not had bipartisan support? Democrats could have pushed that through with out bipartisan support.

Health care reform is something that has to occur as it affects us all. It's long term affectiveness, particularly where managing cost is concerned needs bipartisan support. I despair of the ideological divide but it needs to be bridged in some way of affect and implement this reform.

You realize don't you that no matter what concessions the Democrats make, they will get zero votes from Republicans for this bill.

Man liberals like IB1 are dumb. People already have to pay for Medicare, why would they not take it? That doesn't mean they think it's well run or that the Government should take over the whole health care industry.

The fact is the vast majority of people on Medicare love it too. How retarded do you have to be to be on Medicare, not know it's government run, and also love it, then to turn around and say you wont stand for government run health insurance?

You just said you hope Republicans vote against health care reform regardless of what bill is put before them.

Do you wonder why nobody trusts you guys to get anything done?
Leave the shit alone is getting it done. Never, never, never, never negotiate with a liberal.

Republicans don't have a plan. You know why? Because they don't want to fix health care. The system reaps huge profits for the people that fund their campaigns.

they do have a plan...you just don't care to look it up..
you're such a goosestepping liberal sheep and think the Government and especially this "Dear Leader is the be all to end all..

Um, no they don't. Every time anyone asks you to provide it you fail to. The Republicans have proposed nothing. Thats why you never hear them talking about their alternative on TV. They just attack Obama's plan.

baaaaa. baaaaa
go look it up...even one of your buddies said they had a plan, but they didn't like it..I guess cause it didn't give you all that FREE health care you all crave off of other peoples backs..

There is no plan. And Obama isn't proposing free healthcare.

Why the fuck can't you people ever argue within the bounds of reality? Okay: restate your argument with these facts in mind. Republicans have offered no bills for reforming healthcare and Obama isn't proposing single payer.
