Its not a straw man and while MLK was an individual he did engage in group protests and those protests didn't burn and loot.

Yes it does work but it matters who's engaging in the violence.

I am going to do you a favor and explain to you why who perpetuates the violence matters. MLK and those potesting with him were tired of the treatment blacks received. They marched peacefully. However while they marched local police unleashed attack dogs and fire hoses on the protestors. It was rather horrific. That's not the case with burn loot murder Is It? No one has unleashed dogs or fire hoses on them have they? Even fredo Cuomo said, "Show me where it says that protestors are supposed to be polite and peaceful". Stop playing this semantic game with yourself. Your brain will only get mushier.
