Prosecutors Signal Criminal Charges for Trump Are Likely

S&P is the best proxy for market returns. Dow is actually bad at that, but we can use the Dow if you prefer.

I can argue with those numbers, because your numbers are wrong. Even your own link says your numbers are wrong. I assume your numbers mean something, somewhere, but who can really tell.

Looking at the Dow, Biden is up 7.6%(better than with the S&P, and certainly not negative). trump is up 50.9%(worse than with the S&P). Obama is up 147%(not less than 20%), and Clinton is up 228.9%.

These numbers are beyond question. I have no idea how you could get your numbers so wrong.

Try John Edwards. He did almost exactly what Trump did and lost his career. You lose.

He lost his political career for social reasons. The difference between Edwards and Trump is that Trump was famous before he was elected and not as a politician. And the issue Bragg is making of Trump here is actually about something Cohen did. You lose.

That is not a legal distinction. Edwards' father was a textile worker who did not complete high school. Edwards built his fortune from nothing. trump inherited his money, and then grew the money at less than market rates. trump is literally a below average businessman.

In this case, Edwards did not take all his federal matching funds, and also paid back all the money he took from his campaign. He argued to the jury that federal funds were not used, because he did not take all of them, and that he repaid the money anyway. That argument was enough to convince one juror, and Edwards got a hung jury.

trump took his entire federal matching funds, and made no attempt to payback the money. Edwards was facing up to 30 years if he had been found guilty. If a similar legal process happens for trump, he is in prison for a long time.

Lose? Trump gave Cohen orders that he followed that were illegal. He was found guilty and got 3 years sentence and about a million in fines. During his trial, which apparently you missed, Trump was referred to as person 1, due to presidential protections. What the fuck are you thinking? Trump's protections are gone. The reason he declared himself as a candidate, was because he thought being a candidate protects him. He is wrong. I am sure you noted when he said NYC prosecutors should be charged with interfering in the election.

Cohen said Trump gave him orders. So far Cohen is the only one saying that. Well, to be fair, Cohen and you.

Just like a POS jew to immediately shift to something that doesn't matter.

Actually, it was you that shifted the discussion to something that does not matter. You said that because trump was famous from his father's wealth, that was somehow a big difference from Edwards. It is of no legal importance.

The two facts that are different between the two cases, are that Edwards did not accept all the matching funds he was entitled to, and that he repaid the money he took from the campaign. Neither are really legally important, but both combined to get Edwards a hung jury. Edwards case does prove that there is a legal foundation for a trump case.

No I didn't. Quote me saying that.

Nope, that is not being fair. The jury heard the case with no 1 being referred to, That evidence will be part of this case. Speak in hyperbole much?

Does this look like a social reason to you? https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/form...n-edwards-charged-alleged-role-scheme-violate He violated campaignbn finance laws by paying a mistress to keep quiet. That should sound similar to trump, but in no way is it a social issue. You are as usual, wrong.

There has never been any doubt that Trump did it... twice.
Did what?
His Atty, who followed his orders got 3 years for doing what trump told him to. The question was will a wealthy, important ex-president pay for his crimes, or as usual, get away free. There are 2 justice systems. Now they have a chance to show a blatant crook can pay.
So far Hunter Biden and Joe Biden haven't paid. Neither has Obama. Neither have the Clintons.

Avarice again, eh? No, it is not a crime to run a business.

Inversion fallacy. Pivot fallacy.

Paying a mistress (even if there was one) is not a campaign payment.

Are you saying you really cannot follow it? That is too bad and says so much about you. The point is to buy silence from someone who might be able to damage a political campaign, That is why Edwards was paying his mistress to stay silent. That is why Trump paid off women who was having affairs with. I bet, on a good day, you realize Trump has lots of Christians and evangelicals in his following. It is quite likely that those affairs being known to the public might cost him votes. That is an expense to help him win the election. That makes it clearly and without a doubt a campaign expense.
