Putin has infiltrated Evangelical churches in US

Russia mounted a huge program to interfere in our elections in 2016. All who are inside the FBI and CIA say they are doing it again in 2020. It worked so well when Trump eeked into a job that is way above him. Trump welcomes Russian help and has asked Ukraine to interfere too. Rightys do not care.

why would Russia (which is VERY religiously conservative so it can control people easier) avoid infiltrating American churches?

The Eastern Orthodox Church is theologically conservative and undoubtedly has genuine common ground with Protestant evangelicals

On the other hand, Americans do not realize that, outside of the 80 year period of secular communism, Russia has always been a quasi theocracy.

The Russian Orthodox church is in effect the state church, the state religion, and historically there is very little daylight between the Russian orthodox church and the Russian government

It is transparently obvious that the Kremlin wants to build influence within the Republican Party, and the Kremlin is fully aware that the NRA and rightwing evangelical churches are agents for gaining that influence
