There are parallels, but Harry could have his pick of women whereas Edward was quite childlike when it came to the opposite sex. And you can definitely see that when it comes to his relationship with Wallis. She was more like a mother figure to Edward than a wife.

Yes, I agree that Edward was child-like and I think he had a number of other material psychological issues as well.
Harry is just dumb. Not his fault, just "lucked out" in the genetic lottery. That's why he should have been better supervised by the Royal Family. Things like getting caught, by the English tabloid press, carousing with naked teenage sluts in London Hotels, or wearing a NAZI SS uniform to a dress-up party (one that has REAL Swaztika arm-bands), or, worst of all marrying a vulgar, half-caste Black who had all the class of a "fart at Grandad's funeral", is all just pure stupidity. (Why in God's name couldn't he have married a pretty English girl - England is stacked with a zillion beautiful, young girls ??!!) It's not at all funny, this stuff, because it seriously damaged the Institution of the English Monarchy; and a lot of people had to work overtime trying clean up the mess (where possible !)
I think, the reason that Queen Elizabeth II was so beloved by the English people, the Australians, the Anglo- Americans, etc, is that she provided an example of dignity, grace, refinement that they - the "common people" could always look up to for strength or inspiration. In difficult times - like WW-II - they could always look up to the example that the Queen set, knowing she would always be there for them, the same as ever: calm, unruffled, elegant, polite, never despairing; - she was a moral "rock" the nation could cling to during times like the London Blitz and the Battle of Britain. A sublimely refined, yet "iron- stoic" lady, who would walk through the devastated streets of the East End of London to meet with, and encourage, the English Working Class after a night of NAZI bombing raids. That's what I call true class.

Charles, however, did not TRULY love Dianna. He married her for purely "utilitarian" reasons like, for example, Dianna was ideal (healthy and perfect child-bearing age) for producing Royal babies; she was, as I say, very attractive, demure (the English Tabloid Press dubbed her "Shy Di") and had no salacious "skeletons" hidden in the closet that might pop out and embarrass "The Firm". Camilla, OTOH, was, as you say, certainly no oil painting; but a woman doesn't have to be a stunning beauty for a man to fall in love with her. Lots of men fall head -over- heels in love with very plain-looking women. You, being a woman should understand exactly what I am talking about. When it comes to a genuinely loving relationship between a man and a woman - one that is deep and enduring, physical factors (like does my wife still have nice, firm titties and a well-turned ass at the age of 45, or does my husband still look like Superman and perform like a stallion) aren't really a big part of the equation.
