I belive storngly in questioning authority and when its right, STANDING up to traditional authority.
The only authority I do not question is the Word of God. People can think less of me if they want but it is a matter of faith based on evidence that I believe.
Other than that, I definitely question authority, even though I do my best to obey the laws and respect the President.
Rom. 13:1-2 - "1Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."
I Pet. 2:17 - "Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."
Does this mean you don't stand up to New Age Authorities, like a global government perhaps?
I refuse to wear the sign of the beast!
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
that means that If there's something wrong, those who have the ability to take action have the responsibility to take action.
But will you stand up when each individual is taxed to breathe for his co2 emissions?

I never realized what a disgusting theocrat you were.
You know god is fake, right?
I never said it was wrong to question authority. So its only wrong when you question Conservative authority?
I never said it was wrong to question authority.
Obviously if one AGREES with authority, one is not going to question it.No you didn't. Perhaps he was asking for clarification, since you only had a positive comment on questioning liberal authority. By adding the word "liberal" in your comment, you left it open as to whether you question conservative authority or not.
Obviously if one AGREES with authority, one is not going to question it.
Problem I have is the idea that one would automatically assume authority to be correct based on the political philosophy that hatched it. Or, for that matter, automatically assume authority to be wrong simply because the idea or action came from the other aisle. Yet, we see it on a daily basis, right here on this discussion site. (Not to mention Congress) Hard core supporters of both flavors will foam at the mouth over actions taken by their opponents, yet blissfully bend over and take it up the yangyang when the same stuff comes from their own.
Everyone now denies the arguments from the past about how when
"boots were on the ground" questioning the missions basis was unpatirotic.... and giving aid and comfort to the enemies?
I never said it was wrong to question authority.
