The actor lost his battle with pancreatic cancer today.

He died at home with his family around him.

R.I.P. and thanks for the entertainment.
 
RIP Patrick Swayze. Pancreatic Cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer. I hope he's at peace.

How could anybody not like that movie....



At one time, Red Dawn was considered the most violent film by the Guinness Book of Records and The National Coalition on Television Violence, with a rate of 134 acts of violence per hour, or 2.23 per minute.

The first time I watched it, I was totally unprepared for the change of heart of the Cuban (I think) Military Leader.

The best line has to be when they're sitting around the fire, after the rescue the pilot, and he's asked who they have on their side.
He says something along the lines of "3 Million screaming Chinese" and one of the kids says "I thought China had 9 million". The pilot replies "There was".
Or something along those lines.
 
Swayze had some great guy movies and some great chick flicks.

I liked Roadhouse. My wife thinks Ghost was his best.

Not many tough guys can dance like he did.

IT killed my father a year and a half ago. It was a very bad way to die, but he was brave.

My dad got 10 months, Swayze got a lot more. Without government based insurance, medicare, my Dad would have had three or four weeks.. and a lot more pain.

ITs one of my favorate movies, I watched it the other day. Interesting how Swayze and his group called themselves "insurgents" while the Russians called them "Terrorists"!
 
Stem cell reasearch shows promising possabilities in the future cure of this desease.
