Racism is alive well in the USA

White Student Returns $1,000 Scholarship Intended For Black Students

Imagine the opposite ?....It would not be allowed or legal..
.

I think its so incredibility telling....lefties don't know racism even when it hits them square in the face....

Just imagine the opposite.....take a scholarship away from a black student and tell them it was meant only for a white student and watch what happens.....

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
We have a Black Chamber of Commerce
We have a Black History Month.
We have the United Negro College Fund
We have Black Entertainment Television Network....
We have a Miss Black American pageant, white woman not allowed
We have over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the USA

Take any one of those an replace Black with White and watch the ramifications.....

It is undeniable that racism is alive and well in the USA, and the dreams of those that of us that recognize and despise racism,
and the dreams of Dr. M. L. King are long dead....

Now you all can commence with the name calling, etc., it won't bother me a bit, ..... but whatever you do, don't address the content of the post.....

Like Poet said....."If its true, it ain't racism"......

I did indeed address the OP my friend .. AND, sexism and diversity does indeed matter, although they may not be your favorite topics. Trying to narrowly define what is racist not only supports exactly what I said, it also betrays the absolute falsehood of the OP.

The OP suggests that democrats were racist because the dixiecrat wing of the then Democratic Party stood in the way of racial progress. Yet, I repeat, democrats had more African-Americans in Congress in 1969 then republicans have had collectively since 1969. How does that not address the OP?

Tell me how one makes such a silly claim when this is the reality?

Republicans have never had that many African-Americans in Congress since the days of Reconstruction .. and they never will.

There is NO comparison to the number of elected black democrats in comparison to elected black republicans .. which would include a black president.

Unless you believe that blacks don't need black representation, I fail to see where you make a logical point on this issue. I fail to see where republicans have lived up to the thoughts of Dirksen.

Additionally, my post was not a rant against white people, but rather the truth about the Republican Party. The two are not the same thing. White females have always been ahead of the racist curve.

Racism is alive and well in the US, but it's concentrated within the Republican Party and its supporters .. which is not to suggest that all republicans are racist.

How members of a nearly all-white political party point fingers at the other guys and call THEM racist is as I said .. humorous to the nth degree and mindbogglingly ignorant.

I am not a democrat, nor do I support this president .. but truth stands all by itself.

Again....your reply is irrelevant to my posts.....
Maybe you should try actually reading my post in bold at the top....
MY post deals with A 17-year-old student at King High School in Riverside has returned a $1,000 scholarship intended for black students because he is white.
Nothing more, nothing less....and the second with 'black only' conditions that would not be tolerated if the roles were reversed....

I don't need a history lesson about what YOU think about 1970's or 80's or whatever....
I didn't mention anything about how many black Republicans there are or were or will be.....
The days of Reconstruction are irrelevant as is the subjects of sexism and diversity to my post....
I didn't narrowly define what is racist, I said this event at this High School is racist....

You say, "The OP suggests that democrats were racist because the dixiecrat wing of the then Democratic Party stood in the way of racial progress. Yet, I repeat, democrats had more African-Americans in Congress in 1969 then republicans have had collectively since 1969. How does that not address the OP?"

There is nothing in the OP about dixiecrats or blacks in congress at all....your post is meandering all over creation and is totally inappropriate to the what the
issue of the thread

Either sober up or wait until you 'come down to earth' before you respond....lol...just a friendly dig, bro.

i can see why onceler thinks you're smart....

Do you think that's what he said? Or will you come back with the rube defense of, "I was just asking a question."

BAC is about a gazillion times smarter than you or bravs. Maybe a gazillion +2.

and yes....i CLEARLY asked a question. you're not smart enough to realize that though.

Welcome back from the poster formerly known as Dungheap. I hope you stick around but can understand if you elect not to.

what do you think he means by this?

and yes....i CLEARLY asked a question. you're not smart enough to realize that though.

Your questions tend to imply interpretations you've made. You can deny that, but it's true.

And wow, are you obsessed w/ the "you're so stupid"/"you're an idiot" line of reasoning. You've become quite reliant upon it.

I'd guess it's a little bit of projection going on, but who knows.

It was nice rant.....I said that the first time.....irrelevant to the topic, but articulate like you say....

and it is good to have him back......but he conveyed no ideas, just old repetitive anti-white claims....he ranted against whites and Conservatives....thats all....

And your rant assumes the playing field is even. Is it?

Thats is exactly what he said....
Tell me idiot....what part of this post has you confused.....

Here fool, I gave you a hint.....

Here fool, I gave you a hint.....

It's not exactly what he said. BAC was very careful to point out that it doesn't mean he thinks all Republicans are racist.

You & Yurt are braindead, and you both tend to post a lot. Again, it's why I was so appreciative to see BAC back; it's nice to see some thoughtful, intelligent posts on here.

Really, as a poster, you add nothing but hackery. And it is hackery that isn't even that well delivered.

hilarious from the guy who constantly says he is smarter than everyone else. in fact, you even said BAC is way smarter than me in this thread. you're not self aware at all onceler.

NOTE: onceler failed to address what BAC meant. he won't because he knows that to answer the question will prove he is an idiot.

You're really the only one I say I'm smarter than. It's funny that in Yurtworld, that becomes "constantly says he's smarter than everyone else." You tend to use "constantly" in an incorrect manner. I don't think you know what the word means.

And again with you, it's a question of scale. You have so many more "stupids" and "idiots" in your posts, it really isn't worth comparison. Everyone says those things once in awhile; you have said them in a great many posts, just today alone.

no one said he said all republicans are racist. i only asked if his statement about more blacks in the dem party mean that republicans are racist.

you're not smart enough to figure it out.

and once again onceler focuses on how smart he is and AVOIDS the actual discussion.

why is it you can't give us your opinion about BAC's comments?

I have said that I think BAC's comment are really thoughtful, intelligent, insightful & intelligent.

What more would you like?

:0)

The question is why do blacks feel unwelcome in the Republican Party now? Is that a question worth asking? After all, the Republican Party was the party of African-Americans right up to and including Dr. King.

That answer is all too-obvious. Someone already mentioned Nixon's Southern Strategy .. and again, look at the picture of who you are.

Being a republican does not necessarily make one a racist and being a democrat does not neccesarily make one not. But without question the Democratic Party is far more aligned with the goals and aspirations of the African-American population than the Republican Party .. even in the diminshed corporate-owned state that the Democratic Party now finds itself in.

Who do you think is in a better position to determine what is in the interests of African-Americans?

African-Americans or a party full of white men?

Surely you believe that we are capable of thinking for ourselves, do you not?

It begs the question though, why doesn't the Republican party reach out more to minorities?
