Raise The Minimum Wage!

Rune has already proven that this was a dishonest exercise from the start, so your calculations which I am no longer going to take the time to go into are a futile endeavor.

Bottom line is whether you are talking about a couple making a household income of &150K or $250K like Rune just moved the bar to, makes no difference. They earned it. There is no obligation to force them to redistribute what they earned legally, and their shouldn't be regardless of what you think there should be.

So you consider a $.50 raise in the minimum wage to be wealth redistribution?

Look, you are not interested in honest discussion, so just find someone else to play games with, I have no intention on playing into your hand...

It was you that tried to change the parameters of MY example, dipshit.

Rune didn't specify gross income, you did. Go back and read his earlier posts.

Oh for God's sake...like a sock puppet you and Rune must have each others DNA in your asses.

Look you two want a chance to prove that you are not just run of the mill dumb asses? Answer this....If you have person A that makes $250K per year, and person B that is on welfare, what is the nature of indebtedness of person A to person B?

 So you won't answer my post because you're unhappy with Rune's post?

Read post 283, then 285. You're the one who changed the word "income" into "gross income".

FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, STAY ON TOPIC. THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT WELFARE, IT IS ABOUT MINIMUM WAGE. THE TWO ARE ENTIRELY UNRELATED.
iN 22 PAGES SO FAR, ONLY YOU HAVE INTRODUCED WELFARE.

STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THE PARAMETERS OF THE DISCUSSION TO MEET YOUR AGENDGA.

Oh come on...When someone says income they are most often talking gross. You know that. It is dishonest to intentionally play stupid little word games like that.

Now answer my question if you can, what is the nature of indebtedness of person A, to person B?

I already spent too much time rebutting your silly inference that a top 5% income earner can be an object of pity in comparison to a welfare recipient, so if you can't be bothered, I can't, either.

Post 330. And Rune's right, none of this had anything to do with welfare, we only answered because you brought it up.

Really? The math thing again?

Tell me, j-mac (if that really is your name) why would I have given the minimum wage earner's income in after tax dollars ($240) but the wealthy household's income in pre-tax dollars? Surely you are not as stupid as you are pretending to be right now.

Wow... Rookie is nailing some pinhead ass like an old pro... impressive!

Man, you guys have your hands full!

Tweede-dee and Tweedle-dumb have about typed all the words they know!

:D

Person A/Person B.....Waiting.

Let's pretend I have a small store that sells Code Pink hats and apparel, and Micheal Moore videos, and I am located in some trendy San Francisco hotspot, and the name of my business is F*CK YOU BUSH, or something.... I am going to get a particular clientele, who actively seek my products without me having to do very much, I sell out of merchandise all the time. Now, let's say I sell my videos for $10 and hats for $5... but all of a sudden, all my customers have this extra money in their pockets! The first week I noticed, was when I sold out of I HATE BUSH cup-holders on Tuesday! That never happens, hardly ever anymore. Before long, the customers are buying out my stock faster than I can keep it on the shelves, and so.... I raise my prices! But things still manage to sell out, so I raise them again... Finally, I raise my prices enough, so that my business has returned to its normal pace, and I can keep product on the shelves again. My new prices are $200 for a video and $100 for a hat...and it's GREAT... I expect record-setting profits next year, and hope to pay my CEO a billion dollar bonus! ;)

It's a matter of balance, Dixie. You can increase the rate at which money transfers slightly, which is what we need now. Clearly, you can go to far with this. Raising the minimum wage by 5% or so is not going to suddenly produce 1000% a week inflation.

Wow, looks so good I think that when I need Health Care, will I go to Johns Hopkins?, Mayo Clinic? Nah, I head south to Havana....Not.

On to education...That too is a big lie in Castro's Cuba....But don't takee my word for it...Let's go to the Daily Beast, certainly no "right wing site"....

Communism, or top down governmental control of people never works.

I suppose I will take the word of some anecdotes the right-wing blog you linked to over that of the WHO, who ranks Cuba's system quite high. If you compare it to other countries with per capita incomes of 8k or so, I imagine it comes out quite nicely.

I would love to see an experiment where all the liberals, socialists, communists, and anarchists all go to a determined part of the country, and we could split them off into their own country where they could be free to institute all sorts of regulation, top down control, high taxes on wealth, and huge welfare state commitments, and see how that works out for them....

Oh wait, we do....California....It's broke.

http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/3888699/californias-money-problems/

That's both irrelevant and retarded.

Person A/Person B.....Waiting.

Are you mentally retarded?
