You do realize that the poor do not pay taxes right dunce? So how is there any differential; the poor are still poor even if the Government raises the taxes on the wealthy by 100%. How dimwitted do you have to be to not comprehend basic reality?

Raising the taxes of the wealthy will not reduce the income inequality any more than it will raise these people out of poverty and dependency. Only a simple minded moron can make such claims lacking any factual statistics to prove that it does.

The only thing raising taxes on the wealthy will do is cause more misery and poverty. One only need look at France and Venezuela to see such stupidity on display.

But you won't write a check directly to the U.S. treasury? Isn't that more efficient? I think it's pretty American, too. Raise your own taxes! It's YOUR choice! And get this, if everybody in America that thinks like you do raised their own taxes by $5000, by the end of the first year of doing this it could raise tax receipts by as much as...oh, I don't know...maybe $10,000!!! person A has X amount of income before income taxes are assessed

person B has Y amount of income before income taxes are assessed and it is significantly less than the income of person A.

person A has HIS income taxed at a high marginal rate.

person B has his income taxed at a low marginal rate, or even pays no taxes.

what will happen to the difference between those two incomes after those taxes are assessed?

will it remain exactly the same, will it be a larger number or will it be a smaller number?
