This is untrue, it had to do with how they gave lifetime certifications he and 200 other's created a better certification, so no, he's not self certified. The medical community, you speak for them?

I haven't found the same among my peers.

No one, not even Dr. Paul suggested that the virus stops because he speaks, he pointed out correctly that no one has been hospitalized by any of the variants here in the us.


And yes, like the J&J vaccine is less effective in europe than the US, there are indeed differences between the populations. Also you have a very convenient timeline. It was supposed to be the dominant strain by march.

3. His ophthalmology certification is contested. He originally earned board certification in 1993 after the completion of his residency. However, in 1997 he formed his own board, called the National Ophthalmology Board, with 200 other physicians in protest of certification requirement changes by the American Board of Ophthalmologists. The now-defunct board was not recognized by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, so Dr. Paul was not board certified by a board recognized by the state since 2005, and since Dr. Paul's board dissolved in 2011, he has had no certification from an active body, according to the Washington Post. Kentucky state law does not require board certification for licensure.

It seems character assassination takes precedence over content. What did he get wrong in the exchange with Dr. Fauci?


I don't care to debate his certification, he went to medical school, and has an MD, completed his residency and practiced for 20 years, and is a Dr.

There was a vigorous debate in the early days in the UK over the best course of action. Have you heard of Prof. Sunetra Gupta who advocated a vastly different approach to that of Neil Ferguson they are both highly qualified immunologists.

Ferguson was wildly wrong with his predictions especially regarding Sweden. There's only right way to install a ball cock but calculating R values is a tad more complex!

Credentials are important in medicine. Rand is out of his league. Fauci is trained in this area. Rand is grandstanding. Have a nice day.

All this talk about credentials whilst important are not the be all and end all. Richard Feynman wasn't a rocket engineer, yet at the enquiry into the failure of the Challenger shuttle he spotted that the O-rings lost their elasticity at low temperature. Something that both NASA and Morton Thiokol denied yet he was right and they were wrong!
