Again, Paul was present in an active shooter situation and his life was definitely being threatened just be being a republican congressman and being present. It was only the actions of the cops that kept more people from being shot/assassinated.

What Democrats can say the same? Hint: it’s not AOC lol.

The shooter invoked Bernie because Bernie said ‘republicans were trying to kill people’ or to the effect.

And btw, said to ‘be peaceful and patriotic’ in his speech which allegedly incited the protesters who actually started their mischief before Trump was even done speaking.

The reality is, you don't like one of them so you think that you should insult them for thinking folks gathered around them shouting death threats should be feared... while you do like the other and though that one never even saw one of the folks coming anywhere near them you're willing to understand that they could be frightened...

Now you're just being stupid. Trump was president when articles were passed. Trump was president when the act for which he is being impeached occurred.

If you're claiming that a president should be able to hand the nuclear codes over to Russia on the morning of Jan 20th at the end of their term, and -- because it takes awhile to draft articles and takes time for the Senate calendar to be arranged for a trial -- they shouldn't be impeached, then perhaps you should just come out in support of that deranged policy.

No, he said the republican health care plan -- if you don't already have insurance -- is "just die". And that's the truth. It kept insurance company's right to deny coverage due to pre-existing conditions. It was also McCain's opinion that the law was cruel, and Trump called the Paul Ryan plan "mean."

Link to any evidence from police or anyone else suggesting that Rand Paul heard death threats. Also, please verify which of the "attackers" were arrested and charged for assault on Rand Paul (or any other crime associated with "intimidating" him)

Both can be frightened, but one called it an "attack" when he was never touched and there were 100 people -- and for a time, no police -- yet he didn't have single poodle hair on his head harmed.

Meanwhile, if the mob at the Capitol had found AOC in the halls, perhaps they would've done what they did to a capitol police officer, and beaten her to death with a fire extinguisher.

Did the mob chasing Rand Paul beat anyone with a fire extinguisher that day?

Anyway, the Senate consists of 50 Rs, 48 Ds, and 2 Independents. Romney is still a senator. And in the event of a tie, the VP, Kamala Harris, is constitutionally required to cast the tie-breaker vote.

The real question is why is Perma-Paul still supporting Trumpism? My guess is he sees the Trump base as providing himself a viable path to the White House in 2024. Watch as he and Cruz suddenly become Trump Lites over the next four years.

What is weak is comparing incitement to violence by the President of the United States to agitation by television commentators and non entities like Loretta Lynch.
And why "Worse at it?" Trump's rally cry for the Capitol assault was pretty effective.
