yeah its getting bad again, homeless everywhere, the entire city smells like weed and piss. lots of petty crime and in the areas you would expect far more violent crime.

many cops are hands off now due to diblasio and cuomos measures. its only going to get worse.

I was in midtown for a while, then to Brooklyn, then to Queens, and ended up in HQ.

I still read the crime stats online (which are horrendous), but I was wondering what the commuting/working public thinks about the what's going on.

I read a stat that 75% to 85% of the people now living in NYC did not live there in the 1980s. So it seems they are ignorant to how bad things can get. They are in for a rude awakening, particularly the "urban pioneer" hipsters, who are rapidly finding themselves behind enemy lines.

indeed, rich trustafarian hipsters in Williamsburg and even further into some more dire areas are already feeling the pain.

Last I saw they had moved beyond Bushwick into Bed-Stuy. That's gonna get ugly.

I almost think it is all intentional, pressing a reset button on the real estate market so real estate people can make money all over again once sane police practices are restored.

yup, thats where Im talking about.


I dont know about a reset, my company one of the things we do is set up businesses so their employees work from home. none of them are coming back. there is going top be a glut of available space after all is said and done.

And yet real estate developers are still building "Transit Oriented Rental Housing" near the LIRR stations on Long Island. I suspect that will all collapse into Section 8 housing soon just to have some renters.

A real mess is coming.

My intelligence is just fine, so don't worry, I am also still in damn good shape, living in the country has that effect. Biden has slowed down, but I do not question his intelligence where as trump proved countless times that every cat or dog I have is smarter than he is, or did you miss that fact, would like a boat load of examples?????

Not an old coot and I sure as heck do not live in a shack, LOL. I was making six figures a year until I semi-retired 2 years ago.
