Rassmussen Poll: Who Has Done a Better Job as President, Trump or Biden?

You know who DOESN'T think they're "meaningless"?
Hmmmm, lemme guess... you're afflicted with TDS and obsessively focused on him, so my guess would be.... DONALD TRUMP. Did I get it right??
DING DING DING!!!! How did I know?
"Donald Trump frequently quotes and highlights poll numbers, specifically focusing on those that show high approval ratings within the Republican party or favorable matchups against opponents.
Key details regarding his use of polling data include:
  • Selective Usage: Trump tends to promote poll numbers when they are favorable to him, while often dismissing polls showing lower approval ratings as "fake" or "suppression polls".
  • Approval Ratings Claims: He has frequently touted high approval ratings, such as claiming a "94% approval rating in the Republican Party" in 2019.
  • "Best Numbers Ever": Throughout his political career, including his second term, he has told reporters and supporters that he has his "best numbers ever," even when polling averages indicated otherwise.
  • Questioning Pollsters: Despite citing them, he has also questioned the validity of pollsters and the polling process, suggesting they do not properly interview people.
  • Consistency in Narrative: He uses polling data as a tool to support his desired narrative of high popularity and success, often disregarding contradictory data from major polling organizations.
As of 2025-2026, he continued to claim high popularity,, such as on Truth Social in December 2025, where he asserted a "real" approval rating of 64% without providing evidence, despite mainstream polls showing lower figures.

Why would you expect any politician to NOT brag themselves up?

<gasp> <clutching pearls> Did you just accuse me of "TDS"? When a trumptard does that - they know they've lost the argument!

What?

Well, yes - but GPT grabs the data from the web - it's NOT false and you know it's true if you've been alive the last 10 years - trump's a moron for polling data.

Stawman! When the fuck did I ever say that? Stop deflecting and admit I'm right.

Do you think we'll attack Greenland?
Doubtful, but Trump's madness might lead him to order a massive military exercise on an American base there. All for show and a complete waste of taxpayer assets and money.

He's going to do something crazy - the walls are really closing in on that fat fuck.

"Polls" are largely meaningless. I've said it countless times on this forum, and I'll say it here again. Yes, Rasmussen usually isn't as bad as a number of other ones are, but at the end of the day, it's still largely meaningless. Expect the "polls" to "tighten" come Fall.
True, the recent poll is good till the next one arrives, wait long enough and anyone can find one to support just about anything they want to defend.

If the election were held today, the GOP would suffer a disaster, however, eight months is an eternity in today’s politics, with the 24/7 news cycle and one event can sway public opinion

Plus with gerrymandering and Trump’s efforts to control the election, I wager at this point the midterms don’t change much, the Democrats will win the House, serve as a check and thorn to Trump, the GOP the Senate, but by a smaller margin. What Trump does as a lame term President (maybe) will have a big effect on 2028

Yes.

It's just a matter of truth.
That the answer was Donald Trump. I was right about that.

... and everything "from the web" is accurate? :rofl2: C'mon, man!
Stawman! When the fuck did I ever say that? Stop deflecting and admit I'm right.
About what?

Thankfully, the elections aren't held until after people see how high their tax returns are this Spring and after they get $2,000 "tariff dividend" checks this Summer.

"When asked who did a better job as president, 48% answered with Biden and 40% answered Trump. Another 8% say they have performed about the same. The survey was conducted between February 2-4 among more than 1,000 likely voters. It carries a margin of error of 3%."
This isn't to choose either, but rather a follow up question I'd ask of each person answering that poll: Name three (or more) things that your pick did better than the other that influenced your choice.

That is, if you chose Biden, name three things he did better than Trump has to date. The same goes if you picked Trump. The reason for that is if people are simply choosing on the basis of personal opinion, political party or position, and not on the basis of actual results--which is what "did a better job" means--then they aren't answering the question but rather just foisting an opinion based on nothing.

I pick Trump. Three things that Trump has done better than Biden:

1) Immigration Policy (securing the border, deporting illegal aliens, etc)
2) Tariff Policy (so-called "reciprocal tariffs", raking in $10's of billions each month, using them to negotiate better trade deals and to get countries (including "allies") to respect us again instead of suckling off of us, etc)
3) Tax Policy (so-called "no tax on tips", "no tax on overtime", "no tax on social security", and an upcoming church donation deduction for next year's taxes, for starters). I enjoy paying less in taxes than I did before, thanks to the OBBB, aka Donald Trump.

I'll be even happier yet when I get a $2,000 check as a "tariff dividend" this Summer. I realize this hasn't been officially announced yet, and that it might not even happen, but I think that it will.
