Here's the problem with suicide.
The difference between expeditious euthanasia and punitive execution is anesthesia.
It's hard to commit suicide while anesthetized...

Agreed, however, that euthanasia, or perhaps assisted suicide,
should always be an option to lengthy incarceration as opposed to rehab institutionalization.
