Not a single one of you cockroaches has yet to explain why Harvard should get one penny of taxpayer money when they have an$50 Billion dollar endowment.
You want Harvard to spend their entire endowment? Given the market today, and that the endowment is not invested in liquid investments, that will end up going fast. Then what?
Let every university compete for customers like every other fuckig business does.
Harvard has no trouble getting customers. They are having some of their customers blocked by the government.

The Carnegie Foundation was extremely important. It gave us the idea of credits and classes. There were lectures before, but the Carnegie Foundation forced there to be cohesive classes. A lot of the rest dispersed out from the Ivies. There was also an important step when states began creating state universities.

There are too many names to mention. It all took nearly 400 years to build, and is now being destroyed. The rest of the world has tried to build university systems like the USA, but it takes time, and a lot of effort. If a country messes up, like we are doing now, it is very difficult to come back. Germany is just now getting a good, but not great system, after giving up its fantastic system.

Actually, NRW, Horace Mann was the catalyst for higher education in America.

In the 1830s, Horace Mann, a Massachusetts legislator and secretary of that state's board of education, began to advocate for the creation of public schools that would be universally available to all children, free of charge, and funded by the state.

Lots of Harvard Jewish students are being blocked from their classes, NRW, by Hamas flag waving terrorists.

You know, the ones you support.

You’ll be fine Walter.

Let them compete in the public market without the government funding.

If they are worthy, they will survive…just not with the government funding them.

PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) and NPR (National Public Radio) are both public media organizations in the United States and will now have to compete to survive…without government funding.

These two groups are both far left groups with totally biased reporting.

PBS has started many programs that have spread throughout the marketplace creating jobs and industries. The first big cooking show was Julia Childs The French Chef. How many cooking shows followed? This old House rebuild old houses . How many building and remodelling homes shows have come from that? How about educational Kid Shows? Sesame Street started so many, that there are kids' educational channels let alone many programs. Fred Rogers is another.
They started documentary TV series. They pioneered political discourse TV shows.
They started Science shows for kids. And science for adults, like NOVA.
They had live music on Saturday Nights. https://www.pbs.org/explore/arts/

You're such a hopeless, classless vulgarian.
I shudder to imagine how and by whom you were raised as a child.
I've never had a dog who didn't have exponentially more class and dignity than you do.
Vanderbilt actually gave you a diploma?
It must just be a certificate of attendance like volsrock got in Knoxville.

Mann did great things with education, in making primary school free to all. I am not minimizing that. In fact, he probably did more for American education than anyone who created a university.

That being said, Mann did little to create universities. He did not make university educations free.

Lots of Harvard Jewish students are being blocked from their classes
By trump and Neo-Nazis like you.

Go back to bed, old man.

You were obviously raised in a barn, old man. Your scatological prose precedes you and you aspired to be a union thug.

You could have been a contender.

Yes, you minimized him by omitting him in your post.

Perhaps, if you work hard and complete your “two thirds PHD,” you will one day become a Uber Eats supervisor.

NRW posted:

“By trump and Neo-Nazis like you.”

See, triggered.

I thought I spoke with you about your self discipline problem.

Do better.

I don't give a shit what Harvard does. All I what for them is to not get taxpayer money when they have $53 billion dollars.

No potential customers aren't "blocked by the govt". Wtf is wrong with you. What Harvard should do is provide a better product at an affordable price then there would be no "blocks" for their customers

Once again. Mann did not create the university system.
I didn’t say he did.

Focus NRW:

This is what I posted…

He was the catalyst for higher education,, you know, like your. “two thirds PHD.” (Pizzas Home Delivered)

“Catalyst can be an event or person that precipitates a change.“

De nada.

trump has announced that students(customers) of Harvard will not get visas(blocking them from attending).

Harvard has a 3.5% acceptance rate. They do not need more applications.

Rightfully so, NRW.

HARVARD HAS A DEMONSTRATED HISTORY OF CONCERNING FOREIGN TIES AND RADICALISM:

  • The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has long warned that foreign adversaries take advantage of easy access to American higher education to steal information, exploit research and development, and spread false information.
  • The University has seen a drastic rise in crime in recent years, while failing to discipline at least some categories of conduct violations on campus.
  • Harvard has failed to provide sufficient information to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) about foreign students’ known illegal or dangerous activities, reporting deficient data on only three students.
  • Harvard is either not fully reporting its disciplinary records for foreign students or is not seriously policing its foreign students.
  • Harvard has also developed extensive entanglements with foreign adversaries, receiving more than $150 million from China alone. In exchange, Harvard has, among other things, hosted Chinese Communist Party paramilitary members and partnered with China-based individuals on research that could advance China’s military modernization.
    • The Chinese Communist Party has sent thousands of mid-career and senior bureaucrats to study at U.S. institutions, with Harvard University considered the top “party school” outside the country. Xi Jinping’s own daughter attended Harvard as an undergraduate in the early 2010s.
  • Harvard has failed to adequately address violent anti-Semitic incidents on campus, with many of these agitators found to be foreign students.
  • Harvard has persisted in prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in its admissions, denying hardworking Americans equal opportunities by favoring certain groups, despite the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling against its race-based practices.
  • These concerns have compelled the Federal government to conclude that Harvard University is no longer a trustworthy steward of international student and exchange visitor programs.
  • White House.gov
How about those apples, NRW?

In 1865, the poet Walt Whitman asked:

I have always loved these three lines from Whitman’s elegy “When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom’d,” which he wrote in the spring of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. I have been thinking about them as we mark the 249th year since the ratification of the Declaration of Independence. The lines distill an essential question that any artist and civic figure who believes American ideals are worth sustaining must ask: How shall we honor, remember and learn from our national past? And how shall we transmit essential values of the past to citizens of the future?

I’ve had Whitman in mind this spring as we’ve watched the Trump administration and its Department of Government Efficiency disassemble the cultural infrastructure of the nation. These reckless and shortsighted cuts have affected our libraries and museums, our public media institutions, our local arts and humanities councils and the longstanding endowments — including the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities — that have provided funding for the past 60 years. These institutions are the entities we’ve charged with hanging pictures on the national chamber walls; they were established to represent and to execute on the principle that a great country and a great civilization needs self-understanding, and that such understanding comes not from politicians or congressional allocations but from lasting works of reflection that connect past, present and future.

Trump and Melanoma Trump are never going to be stewards of America's cultural heritage. As human beings, they are empty shells.

Trump likes UFC fighting, pornography, and pursuing adult film stars for sex. Trump wouldn't even genuinely like to be at a country music concert. Trump has never willingly and independently chosen to attend a Shakespeare performance or art museum.

Melanoma's interests are nude modeling, soft core porn, and expensive clothes.

They are both stunted and primitive human beings who could never be expected to honor America's cultural heritage.

You are a bit too dense to understand the implications of this, NRW:

  • Harvard has also developed extensive entanglements with foreign adversaries, receiving more than $150 million from China alone. In exchange, Harvard has, among other things, hosted Chinese Communist Party paramilitary members and partnered with China-based individuals on research that could advance China’s military modernization.

    • Have a genuine PhD explain it to you.
