Is the ethnic food aisle racist? If not then why would other products that appeal to specific ethnic groups be viewed as racist?
I agree we should not tolerate discrimination by the state, but bitching about these markets that tailor their products to under served demographics is absurd and would only lead to a perverse government regulation of culture.
Frankly, I think you should be able to start your whites only label. Who do you think your customers will be?
Maybe next you guys will bitch that braille is only for the blind and therefore discriminates against those with sight.
Where have I said anything about food aisles? Talk about straw.
Ethnic food is a cultural thing. I have no problems with cultural things. Exposure to multiple cultures is a good thing for everyone.
Also, I'm not white, so any "white" label would not be mine by a long shot. So stuff that one in the dark canal you spew your shit from. (But I do eat "white" food pretty much all the time no matter which aisle I buy it from - there are damned few ethnic foods available that do not have a significant white-European influence.
And, as is usual, you bring in an item that is SO FAR from using race as a basis of need that it can only come from one utterly DESPERATE to defend the indefensible. RACE does not make you blind, you ignorant flatuating tool. RACE does not make one less able to learn either. Nor does RACE make one poor.
If you want to address the complexities of blindness, then address BLINDNESS, not just certain races who are blind. And in that case, Braille, being a tool developed so ALL the
blind can read, is more than appropriate.
If you want to address learning difficulties (of all kinds - social and organic) then address the LEARNING DIFFICULTIES - not just those of certain races.
If you want to address poverty, then FUCKING LOOK AT THE POOR, not just politically preferred races who are poor. No, it does not MATTER if a larger percentage of one race is poor compared to another. Help
ALL the poor without regard to race, and you'll automatically help a larger percentage of the race having more poverty problems.
When you look at race, THEN YOU ARE MAKING THE PROBLEMS WORSE, as well as promoting an attitude at odds with the central philosophy of our society. I do not give a SHIT if it is government or private foundations - race based programs are causing more problems for their constituencies than they are solving.
