Shaken, not stirred!
After watching all the network Sunday political gab fests, it becomes clear that the Christmas Underwear Bomber is being touted as a major straw that's going to break Obama and the Dems for the mid-term elections and in 2012.
Rather than waste a lot of space on all the major points, I'll just hit two highlights of the neocon noise machine:
--- Obama and company shouldn't have the X-Mas bomber tried in regular courts. Now that he's lawyered up, we'll never get the intel we need on his Al Qaeda connection, and he might not get the punishment he deserves. Obama should keep Gitmo and torture the bomber.
Reality Check: The Shoe Bomber was tried in fed courts under the Shrub... his butt is now doing LIFE. Also, he started squawking to get all those nice prison perks. Also, remember that Obama reserves the option of torture, extra-ordinary rendition, etc., he is NOT making it a general rule.
-----Obama and company are NOT taking this war seriously, which resulted in the breakdown of communication in the intel.
Reality Check: Obama DID NOT disassemble the Homeland Security set up by the Shrub....so the fault lies in the format, NOT the administration per se. Remember, Slick Willy put an end to the competitive non-sharing between the agencies with weekly meetings, telling al the intel and security heads of the country that they better have something to share or heads would roll. The result, 7 1/2 years of security until the Shrub steals into office and throws out all things Clinton.
