Reality check on electric cars

So you have nothing. Why didn't you admit it earlier?

My son drove across Michigan. He sopped once at a fast charger. He went into a store to go to the bathroom and did a little shopping for traveling snacks. While inside, the car went from 35 percent to over 80. The fast chargers are making travel much better. They are close to what a gas fillup now. AND they get better and faster all the time.

Stop making stuff up, Sybil.

Joules are joules. You can't ram that much current into a battery.

Thanks, Biden!

Fast charging is hard on batteries. Any battery. Soon, the battery will take less and less of a charge until it won't take a charge at all.

Batteries are shown to last a hell of a lot longer than science thought they would. Batteries are not dying. https://news.stanford.edu/stories/2...teries-may-last-up-to-40-longer-than-expected
The data being collected shows what we thought may happen to batteries is not. The original ones are doing fine after years of driving and new battery technology is a harbinger of even longer lives.

Science has always had poor judgement. In fact, science keeps using subjunctive fallacies when he knows they are invalid. Science probably still thinks he's the Big Bang and Evolution at the same time.

Batteries are not dying.
All batteries are dying as we speak.

@gfm7175 - What's the current record for error density, i.e. # of egregious logical errors per letter? I think we might have a new welterweight champion.

IBDaMann: Yesterday I started a new policy of leaving my front door wide open at night.
gfm7175: I recommend against that. You live in a crime-ridden neighborhood near liquor stores and pawn shops. You might be burglarized or worse.
IBDaMann: My cousin is collecting data on that, and the data that hasn't been collected yet shows what we thought may happen, is not.
gfm7175: Well shut my mouth! You must really be onto something. I didn't realize that was actually such a great idea.
IBDaMann: Yep. Next week I'm getting an electric vehicle.
