Yes, gas prices have increased recently. That always happens when people start worrying about oil supply. They will come back down (and President Trump is already taking action to mitigate the effects of such fear mongering).

EV people are not the same as hydrogen people. I never backed it. I hoped it would work, though.
Given that Hydrogen is a straight conversion from electricity it is interesting in the matter of the drive to electrify everything, and I doubt that there is a hydrogen thread though I never looked.

Unlike hydrogen, almost all of those problems are solved using anhydrous ammonia. Zero carbon. ICE engines run on it no problem. Making it is relatively easy to do from natural gas. It's already in widespread production as a fertilizer. Unlike hydrogen, it is easily stored and it's really no more dangerous to handle than gasoline.
