Red wave or Red trickle?

I'm on there for fame, fortune and fun, fun, fun! LOL
This is what was on the X post from Agent X:

I’m freaking out. Warren Buffet has moved $billions to short term Treasury notes.
Don't freak out. Instead, use that information as a guide.

First, you have to assess whether you believe Warren-buddy is acting rationally or under some form of duress or bogus information.

If you believe he is operating rationally on good information, then you think that Warren believes short-term interest rates will be decreasing, spiking the value of existing notes.

Either buy some short-term treasury notes ... or don't freak out.

The 2026 congressional elections should be interesting.
If history is any indicator the party in power usually lose seats. And in this case, with the Republicans having such slim margins, it wouldn't be surprising in the least if Democrats take over.

We are all speculating as to what will happen in the next two years as we do with every new admiration (because if knew we would be gazillionaires and not posting on JPP) but with Trump it really does seem like a wild card. You can't rule out Republicans maintaining power. But who knows...

Every election we hear about the coping mechanisms that people who lost (regardless of which side) use. I'm assuming this is one of them. "We lost the Presidency and Congress (and it looks like the popular vote which is very important to us) but hey, it wasn't like 1972 or 1984 so things aren't that bad."
Coping mechanisms? I'm actually looking forward to this learning experience—the hard way it is. If America is this far gone, then I guess we need to hit rock bottom to learn anything.

I don't post on social media but I have accounts because I want to see what friends are saying/doing. I'm sure like many/most others, I have people in my feed that like to talk about politics. And probably not surprising coming from the Bay Area, my feed leans heavily liberal.

And yes many people are posting about how to cope with Harris' loss, groups you can get involved with etc. etc.

No wave, but a clear mandate.
50.5% of the popular vote is not a mandate of the people, IMO.

A more thorough analysis would be to measure the percentage of wins by state. Those states where Trump won by a wide margin would clearly be a mandate by the American citizens of that state.

Land doesn't vote.
Forests, prairies, cows, corn fields, and mountains don't have a right to vote.

Most of those red map areas have more cows and chickens than people
But in the end Trump is still your President. And with the full approval of the House, the Senate, the Supreme court, the popular vote and the majority of the AMERICAN PEOPLE. You will do as your are told and like it. :)
