Seems I recall during the campaign, a parody song entitled "Barack the Magic Negro" was met with extreme outrage from the left, it was a very big deal, even though it was satirical. When I maintained you were blowing THAT out of proportion, I was called a racist. When I suggested that usage of the word "negro" was not derogatory, you insisted the word WAS derogatory in ANY connotation, including the 'United Negro College Fund' and when referring to a genre of music known as "negro spirituals." Those examples didn't matter because the usage was somehow 'accepted' by black people, which made it okay.
Why do you think it's up to the Democrats? Was it up to the Republicans, and Republicans only, to reprimand George Allen for the 'makaka' comment? Was it left up to Republicans and Republicans alone, to ask Trent Lott to step down after his comments at Strom Thurmond's birthday? Seems to me, you have a bit of a hypocritical double standard going on here.
Why don't we just say, it's okay if Democrat Liberals say any damn racist thing they want to say, in any damn racist context they want to say it in, and offend anyone they wish with their racist comments, and it's FINE because they are liberal democrats! While it is NOT okay for a Republican to even mutter something that can be loosely construed or interpreted as racist, and any such comments demands they immediately resign from public office and bear the brand of a racist until they die! Why don't we just say that, since THAT IS what you mean? At least you wouldn't be contradictory two-faced, talk out of both sides of your mouth HYPOCRITES!
