Religion, IMO...should be a path of spiritual enlightenment and personal emotional growth. Not a means to destroy others, be it physically, emotionally or spiritually. I think that folks that use religion to do that to others or to justify personal greed based gain(wealth and/or power) are not on that path.
Don't get me wrong, we all need money to live and we all have our life's work. Such is the way of the world. That's not what I am talking about. I'm talking about the worship of wealth and power.

Just thought I'd bring my personal philosophy into a thread on religion/philosophy.
