remember that political compass ,heres the candidates

If John Edwards is classified as a rightwing authoritarian, there's something flawed about the methodology.

Ron Paul sits above the Authoritarian line almost exactly the same distance that I sit below it each time I take that test.

Economic Left/Right: 1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.74

Gandi is only a little bit left of me. I'm pretty close to center when it comes to right and left, but I'm very Libertarian Socially.

I'm a little less authoritarian than Friedman, and a bit less economically right. I sit right near him on the grid.

I want to know why Libertarians are always leeching onto that quote by Gandhi. What the hell do they think Gandhi would feel about their politics?

Not according to this scale. You guys fall under Neo-Liberalism - at the exact opposite side of the scale (which makes sense since gandhi is on the socialist end and you guys are almost anarchists).

According to the scale that we are using in this thread, Ghandi falls under Libertarian-left. Can you not read the scale? Anything below the center line is considered Libertarian. There are those who are libertarian-left, like Ghandi, and those that are libertarian-right, like Friedman.

Economic L-R -4.25
Social libertarian/authoritarian -3.23

The economic score surprised me a little, but some of the questions were either-or and had no situational qualifiers. Guess they couldn't have designed it otherwise.
