Actually, there are:

There are limits to speech. You can use words to incite and in most cases these can be found sufficiently inflammatory to warrant actions under law.

I have a friend who was charged with disorderly conduct after flipping off a cop, and the judge dropped the charges... free speech.

Your Right to Expressive Conduct

The act of โ€œflipping the birdโ€ at a police officer is considered a form of expressive conduct protected by the First Amendment. Courts have consistently affirmed that criticism of government officials, including law enforcement, is a component of free speech, even when conveyed through a gesture many find disrespectful. This legal shield means that the gesture alone, without other escalating factors, is not a sufficient reason for an arrest or police stop.

The legal reasoning for this protection is that police officers are expected to show a higher degree of restraint than an ordinary citizen. Federal courts, including the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, have ruled that an obscene gesture by itself does not constitute a criminal act or provide a lawful basis for detention. In the case of Cruise-Gulyas v. Minard, the court noted that while rudeness may violate social norms, it does not make the act illegal or punishable by law.

This protection prevents authorities from suppressing distasteful expression to ban unpopular viewpoints. A simple, non-threatening gesture toward an officer is recognized as a form of communication that falls under constitutionally protected speech.

Anecdote is not evidence. Your friend got lucky. On the other hand, badgering an officer while he's trying to arrest someone isn't "free speech," it's interfering with an officer in the performance of his duties.

flipping off v. ramming w/ vehicle.

are you fucking dumb?

you could flip these guys off all day long, no fucks given.

It seems to me that when you are an asshole to people in public, and really push you're being an asshole, expect some pushback. Aside from that, she was blocking the ICE officers and their vehicles. One officer told her to step out of the vehicle, repeatedly.

She failed to obey and that and her subsequent actions amount to her actively becoming a criminal and no longer just someone protesting / observing. The fun and games for her were over at that point.
You have become a pathetic human being, T. A. PATHETIC.

you need to learn the law TA.

you don't always have to obey a cop.

the ramming and the ramming alone is what justified her murder.

Then why was she there interfering with the ICE operations going on? Why was her lezzy partner taunting and trying to provoke the ICE officers?

Seems to me she was just being a sarcastic hypocrite.
The question is why was the gun drawn? He drew his gun because a woman in a car "was just being a sarcastic hypocrite"? She's dead because the gun was drawn. Otherwise when she started to drive away there wouldn't be time to put a bullet through the window, let alone three.

she was already driving wrecklessly on purpose at people.

Renee Good's wife is a child abuser. Why wasn't she at home with her kid? Because they got taken away for that.
Lost custody.
She did lose custody... Something about cigarette burns for one thing.... (The grandfather of the 6 year old boy is definitely going to try to get custody of him.... I hope someone also gives the dog a new home.... She's very responsible for what happened here.... Drive baby drive...)

Typical of morally inferior people: slime when rational criticism is unavailing.

What's not rational about that? Do you feel that little boy or the dog should be with that woman? Who knows what she'll do or say next....her thoughtless untimely words are pretty much responsible for her wife moving the car and getting killed by the way.... These Tragedies can be avoided if people would stop putting themselves purposefully in reckless situations...

Right, she made a mistake. Probably never occurred to her when she smiled and said she wasn't mad at him that he saw her as a "fucking bitch" and was about to draw his gun and kill her.

It obviously the two had interactions with ICE before this particular encounter... Probably why she made that comment.... There wouldn't have been a problem however if she hadn't Put the car in gear and moved... That was the second huge mistake.. The 1st huge mistake was the wife telling her to drive baby drive....

He only shot twice. In FL, all 3 LEOs would have mag-dumped her until they ran out of ammo.
You cannot be playing with people that try to kill you. FYI.
Dude's a crack shot. There's nothing wrong with that. She tried to run a cop over and is dead now. She made bad decisions and suffered the consequences of them. It is what it is. :dunno:
I've had cops running up to my face with guns drawn. You know what didn't happen? Anyone trying to run them over.
The charges were like that did happen, but it didn't, so they got dismissed.
Really it was entrapment. Really messed up deal.
We did sling rocks on them though with a doughnut out back of a bar in a jacked-up Camaro.
That's when the guns came out and anyone that could, went to jail.
Dickweeds.
Anyone who has seen those many views of the incident who still thinks that woman tried to run over anyone...is just sick.
She did not. At some point she realized the ICE people were probably going to rough her up...and decided to get the hell out of there. It was, in my estimation, the right thing to do. Normally I am a strict "Do whatever a cop tells you to do", but these people seem to think they are gods.

There is evidence of the wife saying this is all my fault... Pretty much... A terrible tragedy and I hope people are paying attention....

You would have gotten out of the car.... Most people would have.. She wasn't stressed... just keep smiling and get out of the car with your hands up... If you get arrested You'll be out in an hour and you can deal with particulars in court.... If the wife hadn't leaned in and said drive baby drive we wouldn't be having any of these conversations...
