Report: Special Counsel David Weiss Worked with Hunter Biden’s Brother Beau

David Weiss, the special counsel appointed to investigate Hunter Biden, spent years working with his late older brother Beau Biden, who was then-Delaware attorney general, a report Sunday set out. The Washington Post reported that between 2007 and 2010 when Weiss was acting U.S. attorney for Delaware, he worked “hand-in-glove” with the elder Biden brother, and he likely ran into Joe Biden at the time, as well.

As detailed by the Post, in 2007, U.S. Attorney for Delaware Colm Connolly hired Weiss as first assistant U.S. attorney. When Connolly stepped down following Obama and Biden’s election, Weiss became the acting U.S. attorney for the next two years, until the Obama administration appointed someone to the position.

We all knew Garland picked a "safe" special counsel.
 
As the top federal prosecutor in Wilmington, Weiss collaborated with his local equivalent: Beau Biden, who had been elected Delaware attorney general in 2006. Weiss and Beau Biden conducted joint investigations and determined which office had jurisdiction in various cases.

Tim Mullaney Sr., who served as Beau Biden’s chief of staff at the state attorney general’s office, said the office often worked with the U.S. attorney’s office during Weiss’s tenure. He didn’t believe Beau Biden and Weiss had a relationship outside of their work. “We are always working hand-in-glove with federal government; there’s nothing unusual about that.”

The Post also noted “it also wouldn’t have been strange for Weiss to run into Joe Biden.”

“Everybody knows everybody

in Delaware, and it wasn’t unusual to see [Joe Biden] at the bookstore, the ice cream shop. It is normal,” Mullaney told the paper.

An attorney who knows Weiss told the Post, “The state is a small town and everybody knows each other.”

Things are not looking good for the Joe and Hunter Story, are they? I think we'll see Joe "decide" not to run in 2024 very soon...That 5 hour trip to Maui, coupled with him telling the "poignant" story of almost losing his wife, corvette, and cat ( a kitchen fire that was under control in 20 minutes), didn't win him any points...Then he fled back to being on vacation....How inappropriate...it's not all about you, Joe....

Indeed.

Joe’s refusal to recognize his own granddaughter until the media finally excoriated him (NYT’s) is an indictment of this cold, cruel grandfather. Expediency doesn’t show well in politics.

The left is finally admitting that Slow Joe is a liability.

Many, including me, are predicting that he won’t be on the presidential ticket in 2024..

The Democrats have no one left.

Weiss is dirty. It’s now being reported that he wanted no prosecution of Hunter. None for his felonies.

There would have been no special counsel until the IRS whistleblowers revealed Hunters felonies.

Garland is corrupt and Weiss is corrupt…they are serving the Biden crime family, not the American people.

Have you ever had a fire burning in your home for 20 minutes? 20 minutes is a longer time than you realize.

He tells the story of loss to show he understands and has empathy. Stories are the way to build rapport with people.

It was under control in 20 minutes... it was insignificant did little damage and there was no real loss. Sincerity and rapport? Perhaps if his remarks weren't so obviously read from the paper he was holding when he went to the podium.

He’s had a busy schedule, if this is all you’ve got, it’s pretty pathetic. He also has a stutter which impedes his speech. It’s sad as a special Ed teacher that you always remark on his speech.
