Republican hate for President Obama.

Of course not. They're what we do with city dweebs who never get their hands dirty.

So your comment was pointless. Silly me... I should have known ... ALL your comments are pointless. BTW What is a dweeb?

No, ALL my comments are not pointless. Some are. Do you want me to tell you which is which so you won't get a headache trying to figure it out?

I don't know officially what a dweeb is. My idea of a "dweeb" is a govt union hack who went to college, got a law degree, worked at nothing constructive, made political hay, had a couple books written by someone else about his phoney life, and hasn't really struggled in life, but had the path cleared for him because he was pampered. Sissy.

What of his personal actions are you worried about? Bowling crappy? You hate the policy, not the person.

His actions as president alone are enough for me to discount whatever he might oblige himself in private. Those have no effect on me, but the character he maintains while he is in office does.

We are going to unleash such a torrent on Obama and his pals that you'll never know what hit you. You've heard of "Shock And Awe".......This is gonna be "Fucked up like a backed up toilet". We are gonna spread so much shit that no matter what you do it's gonna be drowned out. Nothing....NOTHING will stop us from taking Obama out. All options are on the table. We are gonna lie, cheat, steal, tie up, mug, or whatever we have to do this time. A lot of my pals are hoping you all take it to the streets. Counting on it.

Sounds like a typical Republican campaign tactic.

I respect Obama insofar as I respect the office of the Presidency. I pray for Obama and all of our elected leaders on a daily basis. If I were to meet Obama in person, I would treat him with respect and honor as I believe I'm biblically obligated to do. I believe in obeying laws and respecting people in government. However, I disagree with (and yes, hate) many of his policies because I believe they are contributing to the ruin of our country and the erosion of liberty. I oppose Obama for the same reasons I opposed Bush; both are authoritarians.

Unfortunately, anyone likely to win the GOP nomination aren't much better than Obama. Both Romney and Gingrich are enemies of liberty.

Then support a Johnson/Paul Libertarian ticket.

Which again is political, not personal. I'm not discounting the dislike, I am simply pointing out that it is valid, and doesn't cause the vitriol we have seen with Bush, and before him Clinton and much of Reagan as well...

People say that the rhetoric is "worse" but in reality, it is directed at the policy and not personally at the man. His policy causes our lives to be worse, we dislike that, even "hate" it.

Damo, you're really a piece of work.

Seriously - what planet do you live on? Bush got vitriol. Clinton did. And guess what? Obama does too, and you have to be a complete partisan hack to try to parse the level of vitriol he gets as "less."

Where have you been since he was elected? Seriously...

Right here, listening to everybody saying how, "targeting a congressional district" was "dangerous hate speak". ;)

It's not quite like what Bush was getting.. I have yet to see Obama hung in effigy by any protest groups.

Obama has been absolutely villified. It's not "just his policy." It's extremely personal, and has been since the campaign. That's politics today & for the past 20 years, but please.

You're detached.

Not particularly. Again, Jarod is noting that there is less here, he speculates that they are "waiting". I surmise it is because they are directed at policy at the moment and the vitriol is less because more people "hate" his policy than hate the man.

You believe that some evidence of vitriol supports your position, but it discounts the very reason the thread was created to begin with, while mine endeavors to give reason to the supposed 'silence'...

There will be vitriol. But if you believe that this has been at the level that was brought to bear on Bush, you're absolutely insane.

Detached is somebody who can look at the pictures of parade floats with images of Bush burning, movies actually made with scenes of his assassination, images of Bush at the guillotine, head in basket and tell me it equals what we see nowadays... these were regular images, not even "surprising" and often supported by people like Desh, many here (myself included) still think she's a great addition and a good democrat.

I haven't seen anything like that with Obama.
