Republican hypocrisy!

For years while Bush was president the Republicans push through congress spending bill after spending bill...

Now, all the sudden, when we need a stimlus package, ie a spending package, they are opposed to it! Funny how when Bush supported such a package they rallied for it, and funny how when pork was involved they were all for it.

Party over Country, once again!

Well, there's no dollars in it for killing brown people in foreign lands.

If you really want to get this stimulus Bill through quick smart, why not just peg it to a Bill authorising the invasion of some country nobody has heard of, where the people don't speak English?

There was no "brown" in the description. And we've pretty much run out of nations to invade. I think we'll be declaring a war on some other noun soon. Like 'health care'.

The "War on Health Care" will begin right after this legislation is passed because Americans are just not happy unless Congress is voting to "War" on something.

Thats a great idea, then it would be unpatirotic to oppose it!

Hold your horses there. Run out of countries to invade, sir? I know you've probably gone to war with all but three of the nations making up our wonderful globe, but the beauty of the modern world is that new States are springing up all the time (or changing their names which counts as new in my book)

I suggest Costa Rica. They have even made it easy for you by abolishing their army. Go on, be a devil.

IT wont be a war on health care, at least from the Democrat's perspective....

It will be a war on unafordable health care, or a war to end the status of being uninsured.

For the Republicans it might be a war on government sponsored health care.

So the Republicans spent like drunken sailors and got their asses booted out of office as a result. But changing that behavior is hypocritical?

They are already a US protectorate, which is why they abolished their army. See what I mean? We're just flat out running out of new places to put bases and force to give us stuff.

I completely agree.

Well WHY are they out of power? Many, probably most Repubs agree it was because they did not control spending. So now they are trying to.

And they didn't "push" all the spending through congress, when it came to domestic spending, Dems voted more for it than Repubs did, except in cases like the Pill Bill where they amazingly didn't think Repubs were being "generous" enough.

That's a bit harsh on the old Irish isn't it, SF?

When we left there (well some of it) they had certainly mastered enough English to tell us to "Feck off and don't feckin' come back".

LMAO... perhaps a tad harsh... but I wanted to hit close to home... so it was either them or the Scots...

Oh you can't possibly have Scotland as, somewhat ironically, we are currently occupying it in order to exploit it's oil reserves. Once we've drained it, you're quite welcome to have first refusal though.

They are out of power because the policies and programs they promoted and implimented got us into this terrable mess.
