Hmmm... The story is in NYC they sent the kids to a Mosque to be read to from the Koran by the Mullah. Would you think that was okay?
Bringing up a child to believe a certain point of view absolutely, to accept it without questioning, to refuse questioning, (ie faith) is, IMO, a mild form of child abuse.
Not that they are being religiously indoctrinated, but that they are conditioned to accept it without questioning, closing off the mind.
This also could be said of science not taught properly, not shown in epistemological context, but the difference is that science innately recognises its limits, whilst religion sees none in itself. It is 'the word'.
