Republicans and Limbaugh are Racist - Now Zero Doubt

Dixie thinks race is a matter of biology. How interesting.

Dixie, race doesn't biologically exist. It is not real. Ask an anthropologist.

And let the record show, Dixie's answer to my question: he doesn't call anyone negro. He wouldn't dare. Why not? Cause he knows its wrong, which means he's being dishonest.

Hey princess, what did the Democratic Party do to him? Nothing. He's still head of his committees.

We can have a discussion and disagree and still be respectful. I don't even know your sorry ass but your attitude sucks. I affectionately tell you to go do an inhuman act to yourself or act like the Big 12 in bowl season and grab your ankles.

what part of my post was disrespectful to YOU in any way?

Now...look at yours and ask the same question.

when was the last time Jesse Jackson held any position - elected or appointed - within the democratic party?

Well, Al Sharpton is every bit the racist that Jesse jackson is, and he was a democratic party candidate for president.

I think racism exists in both parties.

But I also think that the word negro has enough negative connotations that its use by a ranking official of a political party is insane.

Parody is fine. But the meaning of words is not altered by claiming its parody.

I also think that the use of the same words by blacks is offensive.

Sarcasm? Or is this guy really this delusional?

Not delusional a bit... "I Be One" posted a thread about a satirical parody proving "racism" amongst all republicans, which was refuted on every level in virtually every aspect, by myself and others. Pinheads lined up to fake outrage and pretend that "Negro" is a nasty word with "racist" connotation, and that was also proven to be false, the sources were the dictionary and usage of the word in a variety of completely acceptable ways. It was then alleged the word was "offensive" but this was refuted as well, the sources were, Booker T. Washington and Barack Obama, neither of whom are "offended" by the word in the context it was used. Maineman chimed in with a subtle accusation that Republicans "encourage" racists, and that point was also soundly refuted, examples given were, Robert KKK Byrd, Lester Maddox, and George Wallace. Then the argument went from sublime to ridiculous, when it is insinuated that the liberal LA Times author who coined the phrase "Barack The Magic Negro" is not "racist" because he somehow has the "redemption" of the DNC, like Robert Byrd, Maddox, and Wallace, while Republicans can't receive redemption no matter what they do or say. I am just amazed that none of you redeemed liberals have given in to the temptation of posting the "N" word in this thread! Generally, you will take any opportunity you can, to type it out for all to see.

All in all, you guys scored NO points in this debate. The only "delusion" here, is the one you are having about 'besting' me somehow. It certainly hasn't happened in this thread, as far as I can see, you haven't made the first point.

Should I re-fucking-post in it's entirety, the Dictionary definition of the word "Negro?"

As I said before, back on page one... NOWHERE does it indicate the word is a "racial slur" nor does it say the word means anything "racially offensive" in any way. Your point has not been made, you keep saying this, but you have to PROVE what you are claiming dude!

He was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988 and served as "shadow senator" for the District of Columbia from 1991 to 1997.
You gonna deny poor old Jesse his limited time in the spotlight....
Old Mr. Hymietown himself...race baiter supremo....

Yes, I read what you found in the dictionary. And thanks for that.

You could also show us that "cool" means a lower temperature.

At one time the word "negro" was a term that was acceptable. But those times changed. Word meanings change.

The term is listed in the Racial Slur Database as "Once acceptable, it is now often taken derogatorily by Blacks." And I think that most people understand this.

In Mirriam-Webster the word is listed as follows:
"Main Entry: Ne-gro
Pronunciation: \ˈnē-(ˌ)grō\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural Negroes
Etymology: Spanish or Portuguese, from negro black, from Latin nigr-, niger
Date: 1555
sometimes offensive : a member of a race of humankind native to Africa and classified according to physical features (as dark skin pigmentation)
— Negro adjective sometimes offensive
— ne·groid \ˈnē-ˌgrȯid\ adjective or noun often capitalized sometimes offensive
— Ne·gro·ness \-grō-nəs\ noun sometimes offensive"

YES.... SOMETIMES OFFENSIVE!!! In a satirical comedy parody set to "Puff the Magic Dragon" it is not intended to be offensive, nor should it be taken to be offensive, and wasn't taken offensively by the man the parody song was written about!

I have already said, in certain context, the word could be offensive and racist. You are now taking what I have already admitted, and turning it into a basis to refute what I said!

The next thing I would like to point out to you is, YOU are NOT black! The word is not offensive to you, even by your OWN twisted mangled definitions!

So the only people allowed to discuss an offensive topic are those that are offended?? How ridiculous is that?

Now, we are not discussing something that MIGHT be offensive. We are not talking about something that would RARELY be offensive.

We are talking about something that is SOMETIMES offensive to blacks. And therein lies the problem. A ranking official in one of the two major political parties uses language that is SOMETIMES offensive, that makes a statement. A politician (obviously someone who is concerned with public opinion) who uses such language is obviously an issue that should be discussed.

This is laughable.

So the person who says they are not a christian, but has spent much time defending christians, now tries to make it seem as though I should have nothing to say about what offends blacks?

Nice twisted logic on your part.

Solitary, here is what YOU posted: "The term is listed in the Racial Slur Database as "Once acceptable, it is now often taken derogatorily by Blacks." And I think that most people understand this."

YOU are NOT black! I cited two black persons, one was Booker T. Washington, who said the word was appropriate if discussing racial ethnicity of a person, and should be capitalized. Booker T was 'refuted' by "I BE ONE" because he is dead and his assertions were old, so I also posted the opinion of Barack Obama, whom the song was about! There was no "offense" taken to the use of the word! Now, whether or not YOU were offended, doesn't really matter, since you are NOT black!

Now, fuck off!

It seems to me, Robert Byrd can use language like "White Niggers" and that is NOT offensive... VP-elect Joe Biden can racially stereotype Indians in convenience stores, and that is NOT offensive, Hillary Clinton can laugh about Gas Station Ghandi, and THAT is NOT offensive... Howard Dean can assert that only blacks can be 'wait staff' and THAT is NOT offensive, Geraldine Ferraro can say Obama is popular because he is black, and THAT is NOT offensive, Jessie Jackson can talk about Hymietown, and THAT is NOT offensive, but a comedic parody done for satire on the radio, using a perfectly legitimate word, is somehow 'proof' that all republicans are racist to the bone?

Get your head out of your ass and try to make sense!

Dixie, you obnoxious jerk.

Since Booker T Washington died in 1915, I think using his opinions the use of a given word in modern society is so farfetched as to be one step from a flat out lie.

And what would you expect Obama to say? Did you expect him to scream and throw fits about the word? Think about where he is and what he has just accomplished. Do you really think the man is stupid enough to tell the world that the word "negro" is offensive?

And did they ask him about the word negro, or did they ask him about this song? He said it didn't bother him. He also said he didn't listen to it.

So he is not much help in your crusade to prove the acceptablity of the word "negro" in our modern society.

So why don't you fuck off. I have shown you to be a fool on this topic.

Hillary Clinton is dangerous, I don't know why Obama even took her aboard her camp tried to destroy Obama with Ayers and now shes trying to run his Presidency. Biden always looks shifty eyed like a mobster, has anyone noticed that how he smiles with shifty eyes...

Dixie, were you born an asshole or is it something you have worked at??

Please point out where I said ANY of the things you listed were not offensive. I defy you to do so. You are always accusing people of twisting your words or putting words in you mouth. And here you are doing it again.

What was it you were saying about Narcissistic Personality Disorder?? It looks like Freudian Projection is something you are familiar with on a personal level.

If you will actually READ the posts in this thread you will see that I called BOTH parties racist.

BTW, your proctologist called. He found your head. :cof1:

Sol, when Obama said he had heard of the song, I presume he heard the title of it, dontchya think? Now, if "Negro" were an "offensive" word, I would expect Obama to say something like... oh, I don't know... "I was offended by it" or something like that, but he didn't. Now, call it a crazy assumption on my part, but I really don't feel like he was very offended by it. It's amazing how much analysis you go through to draw a conclusion, when the simple explanation is, Obama was not offended by the song.

As I pointed out before, there is nothing offensive about the United Negro College Fund, or the Negro Spiritual genre of music. There is nothing racially offensive about bugs, plants, and rivers being named "Negro" and there was absolutely no assertions from you pinheads that the LA Times author who coined the phrase "Barack the Magic Negro" was being racially insensitive. But let Rush Limbaugh play a parody song on his radio program, and suddenly it is proof that all Republicans are racists!
