Republicans are to be comended...

No, Sotomayor was an Obama appointee and Romney said he would nominate people like Scalia.

Dung, you seem to have a lot of faith that Romney (if he wins) is going to do exactly what he said he would during the campaign while in office. For a man (Romney) who has obviously flipped flopped positions before and is now pandering to conservatives why do you take him at his word?

He was a successful governor in NM, and he is pro-pot. The guy actually took medical mj for a back injury he sustained for 2 years. When it comes to reforming government and cutting spending he is one of the five or six people who actually walk the talk.

Just PM Soc, who lives in NM, is a huge Johnson supporter, and has done his homework. He can tell you a lot more than Billy and I can.

Why, besides being a third party candidate?

That's a pretty big reason in and of itself, especially since that 3rd party is the Libertarian party. But he's against the war on drugs, against policing the world, supports gay marriage, pro gun, against the patriot act, NDAA, and SOPA. Soc is the best spokesman for him here though, and he turned me on to Johnson.

I don't know about "exactly," but even if he really, really wanted to do things a whole lot differently from what he has been campaigning on, the Congressional Republicans won't let him. I expect that he'll do whatever they want, just like he's saying whatever they want.

Romney strikes me as a title chaser, not someone with a vision for America that he wants to implement because he thinks it will make the country a better place for its citizens. He wants to be president not because he has big ideas, but because achieving the position of President in and of itself is his goal and would be confirmation of Romney's ideas of his personal goodness. So once he gets there he'll do what those that got him there want him to do.

It does depend on what Romney we get, the Gov. Of Mass. Or the candidate for the Rep. Nomination. I expect the Gov. of Mass. in action...... and the candidate in rhetoric.
