You are also discarding all State constitutions.

You can't get 'rid of guns'. The right to self defense is inherent. The Constitution of the United States and the constitutions of the various States are very clear.

Guns were carried by Secret Service there. Guns were in Hall A. Concealed guns were allowed anywhere else in the convention (most of the convention). The exhibit hall displayed many guns openly.

Guns were carried by the SS. Do you think that refutes the point? They did not want gun lovers armed in Hall A.
