Gardner literally expects high end restaurant staff to serve him for free. It is sad to see so much entitlement in someone who has done so little.
The absolute worst is when they give the wait staff a "prayer card" as a tip. Imagine you had a job, and when payday came around your employer gave you a card that said they would pray for you as a tip. Worse still, the cheapskates will complain to your manager if you do not thank them for not paying you.
Who needs tips. The Lord will provide.All the wait staff I know who have worked political events tell me the same thing, Republicans barely tip. It is even worse if you are not white. A Black bartender is not going to get much in tips working a Republican event.
And we have all heard how skimpy trump tips. If 4 waiters are working 4 hours on a table, they are working in a state with federal tipping minimum wages, and trump tips $20, that wait staff just got $3.38 an hour.

I also worked as a bouncer at a nightclub that was a restaurant during the day, and I saw waitresses get them. There was an incident where a patron felt he was not thanked enough for not paying his waitress.
I have never ever seen one.... Never... Your last sentence makes no sense...
Then you are lucky. You pay your wait staff through a tip. If you "pay" her with a promise to pray for them, you are stiffing them.
