10 Best Resorts in Puerto Rico for an Island-Beach Vacation, No Passport Required

Looking to book a phenomenal tropical vacation with minimal travel hassle? These Puerto Rico resorts are waiting for you.

Craving a sun-splashed warm winter getaway not too far from home? Consider a trip to Puerto Rico. Known for its warm and sunny weather, sandy beaches, lush rainforests, mouthwatering cuisine, fascinating history and colorful capital, this Caribbean island offers plenty to see and do beyond the best all-inclusive resorts. Not only is it a quick and easy flight from major East Coast, Midwestern and Southern cities, but there’s also no need for a passport. Since Puerto Rico is an unincorporated U.S. territory, you won’t need to fret about that expired passport or exchange rates. And while choosing where to stay on the island is no easy feat, we’ve rounded up the best Puerto Rico resorts for every occasion, including action-packed family-friendly vacations, dreamy romantic getaways and everything in between.

I’ve been fortunate to visit Puerto Rico several times (and am already itching to return in 2024), and I can say for certain that the island’s ideal mix of beach, fun, history, adventure and, of course, fantastic food and drink makes it a top pick.

Did Trump Name Puerto Rico 'Trash'?

Based on the provided search results, it appears that a comedian, Tony Hinchcliffe, made a comment at a Donald Trump rally in New York, calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” This comment was widely condemned by Puerto Rican celebrities, politicians, and residents.

However, there is no evidence to suggest that Donald Trump himself made the statement. In fact, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign stated that the joke “does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.”

Additionally, some sources quote Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, as saying that “Look, it was a comedian who made a joke in poor taste.” This suggests that Trump’s campaign did not endorse or condone the comment.

In summary, while a comedian at a Trump rally made a derogatory comment about Puerto Rico, there is no evidence to suggest that Donald Trump himself said Puerto Rico was “trash.” Brave AI

My wife and I took a cruise once and it stopped at PR. We took a tour bus while theire. It literally stopped at a couple government housing areas first stop. We bailed out of the tour and explored by ourselves after that.

Please provide a reliable source which quotes Trump himself condemning the Puerto Rico insult and the comedian.

First of all Trump didn't say that.
I haven't heard any apologies from Hillary or Obama for directly and personally denigrating conservatives.
Conservatives have the free will to willingly choose whether or not to worship an immoral sleaze bag and convicted criminal. That is a reflection on their values.

People of Puerto Rico cannot help being Puerto Rican, and have no choice in their ethnic heritage.

All the deflection and excuses are meaningless. Trump did not repudiate the nasty comments; he hired and paid the person who said them. Shouldn't a candidate for POTUS be able to competently select spokespeople and other employees?

Imagine for a moment if Harris had a rally and one of her invited speakers referred to white people as "crackers." Think about THAT for a while.

Or...heaven forbid she laughs.

Trump has not apologized, and the video proves that Republicans in the audience roared with laughter, they did not boo the racist joke.

Why would he "apologize"...he didn't hire the guy... I see comments that the campaign thought it inappropriate...that's all that's necessary...
Democrats have other things to worry about...thanks, Joe...;)
Well sure. You can still vote for trump. He just lost more than a million Latino/Latina votes.

The joke brings back the memory of how he refused aid to Puerto Rico. Something that was back burner last week for Puerto Rican voters.
