I think it's safer to say that conservatives were against some of the nation's progressive advances. Until well into the 20th century, the Democrats were a socially conservative States-rights party.

Modern Democrats have been for all of the listed freedoms. The Republicans, for my lifetime have been against any social progress.

Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina et al left the Democratic party because Kennedy/Johnson supported the Civil Rights movement.

Women's right to make decisions about their own bodies is a big one.
The environment is also huge.
The Repubs want to make life decisions for all people.

Trump was the first Person to take office as President in favor of Gay Marriage.. Obama and Clinton opposed gay marriage.

Trump placed tariffs on steel, cars and LOTS of things from China. Biden removed many of those tariffs
