House elections live balance of power for 2024
Republicans will keep control of the House of Representatives, CBS News projects, solidifying Republican leadership of both chambers of Congress as well as the White House with Donald Trump's 2024 election victory.

The GOP held onto the House despite two years of infighting that often descended the lower chamber into chaos, including the historic ousting of their speaker.

Republicans were projected to win at least 218 seats after edging out Democrats in several closely contested districts. Democrats were projected to have at least 211 seats. Several races have yet to be projected.

The GOP also gained control of the Senate this election, picking up several seats during a year when Democrats faced an especially challenging map.

This is great news. Now the question is will the Freedom Caucus sabotage everything? Or will they let sh*t get done?
You actually think they are going to get anything done? Trump’s first two years he had control of both houses of Congress and little was accomplish other than setting up a Democrat majority thereafter

They passed tax reform.

It's like people on the left are speaking out of both sides of their mouth. At first he was going to pass a national abortion ban, end (or come close to) Social Security etc. etc. But then it's like "he's lazy and will just be playing golf and doesn't understand legislation so nothing will actually get done..."

Those are two very different scenarios.

Nope. During Trump's first two years, Trump-HATING RINOs had control of both houses of Congress. The result could have been accurately anticipated.

This time it will be different, very different.

Oh, the subsequent Democrat majorities came about from Democrat cheating that saw the DNC steal the 2020 election. That won't be happening anymore.

And that was it, a move that helped contribute to further income inequality, added to historical debt, and even had a role in the recent inflation crisis. Plus, non comparable to passing a national health plan, or major infrastructure bill, the later passed in a divided Congress, and both which were the goal of administrations for decades

The Grand Architect of the Universe is now raining down Divine Providence upon America.

So now that God has come down on your side, what are you going to do with your MANDATE?

I'm genuinely curious to see if all the stuff Trump promised actually works.

Make the country better now.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, ironic cause every time Trump steps in it is always someone else’s fault, always

And you got laugh at how now the BIG LIE has been extended to all elections, classic

Now, now. No more of this "no-true-scotsman" stuff. You guys won. You won the Executive, the Legislative and even, for possibly the first time in American history your side CONTROLS SCOTUS. This is unprecedented access to the levers of power.

SCOTUS decreed that your guy, Trump will have even more expansive powers than the Founders envisioned for a king.

So now that you have ALL THIS, what are you going to do with it?

Fix it. Fix it all. You said you could, America gave you the keys, let's see what you do with it.

The senate is lost to the deep state. Expect no help there.

The margin is too thin in the house.

I do not find it to be a coincidence that the presidential race was decided night of but it just so happened that it took a week of *totally innocent ballot counting* to determine the senate and house.

I do not find it to be a coincidence that Kari Lake, one of the most fervent pro-democracy candidates "lost" in a state where Trump won by a good margin.

The revolving door will be the same as Trump’s first Cabinet

Of course. But if that's how Trump feels he needs to run things to achieve all the GREAT THINGS the MAGA folks have promised us once they got the oppressive boot of the Thuggish Left off their necks!

They got EVERYTHING. POTUS, House, Senate, SCOTUS. There is nothing that can stop them now. They will fix EVERYTHING. And everything WILL BE GREAT again.

We've been promised it.

Congressional races often take days & weeks to decide. Going back decades.

And Kari Lake lost because she is a bad candidate. Arizonans rejected her once again. She has never won elected office.

Sounds like someone is setting up EXCUSES for when they fail. Let's not hear that kind of talk.

The margin is too thin in the house.

More excuses. C'mon. America is better than that. NO MORE EXCUSES.

Excuses are for BETAS. We elected ALPHAS to run the country. Now stop whining and start DOING.
