Fauci speaks anti-truth...the opposite of the truth. The complaint is that he does not follow the science but claims that he does thus he drives science into disrepute. And now he wraps himself in the flag a science and thus does more damage.

The ‘disturbing evidence arose’ when they published the genome of the virus. Fauci was alerted by an immunologist that a portion of the genome couldn’t be accounted for by an evolutionary process. By that I assume they mean a step by step process.

After that, it’s an either/or proposition: if the virus didn’t occur naturally then it was engineered. I’m skeptical that an immunologist was the only one who was aware this since viral genomes are probably not his primary area of expertise.

The repercussions of this have been clear for decades, as scientists exaggerate, distort and mislead in order to get their own work (or their field’s work) funded.

If we are mostly safe from devastating zoonotic spillover pandemics, why were we told otherwise? The answer is simple: because the scientific method has been hijacked by a competition over who can tell the most beguiling stories. Scientists have become salesmen, pitching serious problems that they and their research just so happen to be perfectly positioned to solve. The fittest in this game are not the most accurate, but the most stirring. And what could be more stirring than a story in which bat caves are ticking pandemic time-bombs from which only the boldest and brightest gene experts can save us?

Fauci won't say that people that have had COVID don't need the shot. That is OK in the US where we have enough vaccine to give even people that don't need the vaccine shots. But in Indian they don't have enough vaccine. If they didn't vaccinate people that have had COVID they could vaccinate more people that really need the vaccine. Fauci's reluctance may cause more COVID deaths.
