Reverse Socialism

Problem is with your argument is I'm not a leftist. I'm center right. That's how for of the right wing deep end the GOP has gone.

None of the ignorance you utter suggests anything "center right". Instead it suggest someone far left and incredibly uninformed and economically ignorant.

Your claims suggest a dunce who thinks the economic pie is finite and that if someone gets more, someone else gets less. But that is false and stupid.

Your claims suggest a dunce who is more inclined to parroting leftist talking points like a trained circus monkey rather than someone with intelligence.

Tell me, what school of economics do your remarkably dumb claims come from?

I'm going to attempt to give you a clue; when Steven Jobs struggled to build Apple, he created billions in wealth for millions of people, as well as for himself. When Bill Gates created Microsoft, not only did he created millions of jobs and great wealth for millions, he also created a foundation that gives more to the poor than any single billion dollar Government program.

Simpletons like you who think caring is turning everyone into dimwitted wards of the State are clueless tools of the Marxist class envy rhetoric for dunces.

I don't know how anyone growing up in this nation can be so poorly educated and dumb; but here you are trying desperately to remove any doubt what an empty headed dunce you are.

I figured conservatives would run like scared children from this topic.

Did you support the auto bailouts? Did you support all of the money Solyndra pissed away? How about every other "green energy" boondoggle that we have pissed money away on.

Yes, I agree the bankstas fucked us all royally. You won't get any disagreement from me on that, however, I viscerally opposed the bank bailout. I opposed QE1, QE2 and QEinfinity. You seem to be selective in the things that you opposed which is why it is hard to take you seriously in all of this.

Decades ago we all paid a much higher tax percentage, and our economic policies protected the people more than businesses. During these times our nation saw historic growth and unheard of economic prosperity. None of that was done by basing our policies on giving more to the rich. Why do conservative call social programs that help the poor socialism but believe it's ok to take taxes from working people and give that money to people who are already rich. Isn't that just reverse socialism?

1) What taxes are 'taken' from 'working people' and given to the rich?
2) What time frame are you referring to in the above? The 50's???
3) How many threads have you started recently? Has there been one where you HAVEN'T gotten your ass kicked yet?

I will. Since 2008 Cons have given up the moral authority on income inequality when they privatized profits but socialized losses after those greedy asshole collapsed our system. I want my freaken money back from those no good rotten crooks! We may not be able to send those assholes to prison where they belong but by God we can get our money back that they stole!

LMAO... So under President OBAMA, income inequality has grown, but that is con's fault?

Who collapsed our system Mutt? You seriously want to pretend the Dems had nothing to do with it? Glass Steagall, repealled by Clinton with overwhelming bipartisan support in Congress. BOTH parties trying to expand home ownership to record levels... all by extending credit to more and more people while reducing equity requirements and income checks.

Also Mutt... the Dems had control of Congress starting in 2007... what exactly did they do to reverse the problems?

Instead of reimplementing Glass Steagall... they put in place Dodd Frank. A bill that has hammered smaller banks and let the big banks grow even bigger.

I always wonder why lefties choose to ignore the deductions side of the high marginal rate meme. Truth is as a percentage, the wealthy' bite has remained relativly constant. You have to remember that congress is full of rich guys and they have no intention of hurting themselves or their friends. And the very wealthy dont pay marginal rates any way.
And the notion that po folks are having money taken from them and given to rich folks is so laughable when they pay no taxes.
So wjo IS paying ? The middle class just as it always has.
That is why "taxed enough already" was such an attractive message until polititians glommed onto it.

The answer to the bolded is simple; they really are THAT incredibly stupid.

Check out Steven E. Koonin, Obama's former top scientist. The myth of green energy was exposed on 60 minutes last night. Very little reporting on it.

You hit the nail on the head, regardless of what marginal rates have been, the effective tax rate has been around 17% for years. So why not just have a 17% flat tax and cut out all of the bullshit? Simple, you can't socially engineer society if you do that. That would lead to more freedom and you can' thane that. And make no mistake, the GOP for all their caterwauling have no more interest in simplifying the tax code than the democrats do. Oh, they talk a good game, but when push comes to shove they like things just the way they are, which in my book makes them worse than democrats

But, it would appear Mutt has lost interest in this topic. Oh well

Actually I would love some form of flat tax or simplified tax. I really agree with you here on this one!

I appreciate that. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to get our wishes as there are too many folks who profit from the current tax code being complicated. It is unfortunate really as it stifles competition and creates needless churn.

It is sad that Mott ran from the thread he started, this was actually an interesting conversation. Even better when you ignore Desh
