Richmond panel urges removal of 1 Confederate monument

Sure you do since the reason you want the monuments down is they represent the Confederacy. Perhaps the true reason you claim to not care about what I fly is that, while you can hide behind local governments do it, you'd have to be a man to take mine down.

You are deeply deeply mentally ill

I'm not the one saying something should come down then refusing to try and take it down. The difference is you'd have to be a man instead of hiding behind a local government and you know you're simply not man enough to take down what YOU say shouldn't be up. Location is irrelevant.

your ability to grasp reality is evidence of your mental illness. The important thing is the monuments are coming down . I could care less what you fly over your trailer except that it will provide a good chuckle should I ever drive past it. I laugh every time I drive past a trailer with a confederate flag flying.

Your inability to be a man is evidence of your cowardice. It's easy to see why you have a contradictory stance on things. Supporting the locals taking them down doesn't require you to do anything. Doing it yourself, does.

Drive past where I live. I'll laugh that a pussy that claims something should come down hides in his car like he hides behind his computer.

I really don't care at all about what you fly as long as the Confederate monuments keep coming down which they will

Gettysburg is a National (government property) and public park. It contains many monuments dedicated to both Northern and Southern civil war notables.
Do you wish to have those removed too? If you do, just keep in mind that Gettysburg was as far as the South got in the civil war.

The core issues are the confederate southern town square sort of monuments. The southern monuments at Gettysburg can be seen as a reminder of the consummate stupidity of the south.

So there's a difference? Aren't they both on public property? Why are Gettysburg's monuments any different than the monuments down South? Please explain.

So now "conservatives" don't like local control either? Stay on the compound cornpone.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A commission studying what to do with the most prominent Confederate monuments in Richmond, Virginia, recommended Monday removing one honoring Confederate President Jefferson Davis.

The panel of historians, local officials and others that spent around a year studying and soliciting public input about the statues on the city's historic Monument Avenue also urged the addition of permanent signage with historical context near the monuments.

Further, it said leaders should consider adding new monuments that would reflect a "more inclusive" story of the city's history, the commission said in a more than 100-page report.

"In the course of the work, it became abundantly clear the majority of the public acknowledges Monument Avenue cannot and should not remain exactly as it is. Change is needed and desired," the report said.
