Right to Romney: God hates fags?

Malachi, a prophet, uses the name Esau to refer to the Edomites. Basically what Paul and the Prophet Malachi are saying, in full context of the verses, is that God chose Jacob to be the "father" of Israel, but did not choose Esau. While the language was colorful, it is not the same thing as "hate" in the usage people are saying here.

Remember, according to the Bible, God is Himself Love.

Later in the same book, God saves everybody, not just his chosen people, this means the same Edomites who were not chosen to be "his chosen" are now as saved as anybody who believes in that particular magic man.

Well, I have to go back and read my sources.

If God is love, the God must be hate, because as a Catholic child I was taught that God was all things.

I now hold that, to name God(dess) is not God(dess)

And they claim that atheists are immoral?

Damo, when you show preference of one child (nation) over the other, when you make one child (nation) more prosperous than another, that is not love.
You're an enabler. How in the hell can you possibly understand what love is?

It is choosing. However, it was an analogy used by both Malachi and Paul to describe the fate of nations. Not an actual hatred of a person. The "choosing" itself is one of the more interesting passages, especially if you are reading the apocrypha. The language used speaks of plural elohim, a council of sorts and a contest... He chooses one people, others choose others, and they will see who "wins"...
