right wing is on public assistance

Well it doesn't help that they voted for Trump, Cruz, MTG and others.

I don't agree with them, but when they are insulted and called rubes and other denigrating terms you can't expect them to support your party. And, it doesn't say much for the people who are labeling them as such.

It's the same way when they call the Democratic Party a party of Marxists, Communists, Fascists, Open Border supporters, racists, and such.

So which's worse?

I remember when Democrats bragged about being for the "common man." Now, when the common man votes Republican, they denounce him as uneducated (their term for high school graduate) rubes/deploreables/etc.

Their attitude lost them the working class vote.

They also claim the working class is voting against their "own interests" as if we only measure our interests by government benefits.

I knew when I posted you morons would just be morons

Do you think they are gaining anything by calling Democrats those names? Or, do you think they are being hateful and spewing hate and losing Democratic support?

Neither is worse. They are both juvenile attempts to spread hate and express some psychological need to show people they are "better."

You are spot on with the bolded.

dont really want you racists and homophobes around

Not really. If they qualify for benefits they are in the bottom 50% of income earners which only pays 2.3% of federal income taxes.

Percent of All Federal Income Taxes Paid (Average Tax Rate)
Top 1%: 40.1% (25.4%)
Top 5%: 60.3% (22%)
Top 10%: 71.4% (19.9%)
Top 25%: 87% (16.8%)
Top 50%: 97.1% (14.6%)
Bottom 50%: 2.3% (3.4%)

guess that proves katzgar was wrong about them receiving benefits then.......

Own interests means protection from corporate abuse. It also means a higher min wage and Biden is trying to get child care. It is not about benefits. It is about working with dignity.

LOL, and you think Democrats protect you from corporate abuse? There's the real world and then your world dude.

And you are measuring dignity by government giving them money.

I don't know what anyone has done about corporate abuse. They haven't abused me and if they did I would not buy their products and they are soon out of business if enough people do it.

So I can't support conservative policies or principles, I simply vote the way I do because of hate? Really?

The GOP plays on hate and fear. You hate carbon emission legislation. You fear illegals. You get riled up over the imaginary war on Christmas. You hate that poor people need welfare to feed their babies, and how dare a store ask you to wear a mask!

Meanwhile, the real issues facing our country--like healthcare, worker rights, poverty, etc--are ignored.

Whites without a college degree is a very polite way of saying idiot.

Even as congressional Republicans mobilize for a new drive to retrench federal anti-poverty efforts, whites without a college degree—the cornerstone of the modern GOP electoral coalition—have emerged as principal beneficiaries of those programs, according to a study released Thursday morning.
